Chapter 6

Izuku's POV

It's been a week since mom told me we're going back. However, I was confused at the absence of our home room teacher today. I turned to Kat. "Where's Ms.Ellis? And what is Mr.Smith doing here?"

Kat shrugged. "Apparently many teachers are absent today."

Mr.Smith called for the class's attention. "I know you guys must be curious about your teacher's absence. However I am to inform you guys that today there will be a free study among the classes. You guys can do whatever you want but don't destroy the school please."

And with that Mr.Smith left the classroom. I laughed as we made it way to Oli's classroom. "I can't believe they would allow this."

"You'd be surprised. This is not exactly new but it's still rare to actually be put in place."

"Is that Kat's new toy? What an ass." a boy sneered. Kat froze and I whipped around with a fierce glare.

"Who the fuck are you?" I snarled.

"Izuku leave it" Kat whispered trying to pull me away.

The boy smirked. "Just a previous classmate right babe."

I glanced at Kat to see her pale. "Don't talk to my friend like that " I warned.

The boy scoffed. "Is that how you got with the group? Sleeping with Kat? You're weak. And you Kat, stringing this guy along. I always knew you were a slut "

My anger flared and I punched him square in the jaw. I activated my quirk and kicked him in the stomach. I found out his quirk was speed but I was faster than him. All I saw was red. I stopped when I suddenly hit a shield. My eyes snapped to Kat who pulled me away. "Enough Izuku. You proved yourself."

I glanced back to his bloody figure and flipped him off. He glared at me but was too weak to stand.

"Who the hell was that" I asked as we sat at our table.

"He was in our class during the beginning of first year, way before you joined. His name is Devin. We used to sit next to each other and he knew about how Oli,North,Scarlet, and I were scouted by pro heros and how strong we were so he wanted to join our group. I thought he was friendly at first and did notice the flirting but thought nothing of it. But than he advanced on me and I rejected him. But day after day he would ask me out until I finally told him I like girls. Then he blew up at me and starting claiming that I was leading him on and somehow made himself the victim. He began to make my life hell and revealed how he just wanted to be scouted. He had to leave one day for a family matter or something. And I guess now he's back." Kat explained quietly.

I slammed my fists on the table."Fuck, I only used 5% of my power. Should've used 20%. But I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know a thing or two about fake friendship."

Kat giggled. "Thank you."

"So you got into a fight?" Scarlet asked while sitting down, Oliver and North right behind her.

"With Devin." Kat smiled.

The group began to praise me for kicking his ass and I quieted them down. "On another note, why are most of the teachers missing?"

Scarlet looked around and leaned in, "My parents told me it's a rescue operation that was kept on the down low. Apparently they found-"

"Cyanide's base." I finished.

Scarlet looked at me in shock. "You know too?"

"My dad told me about it a while back... a week or so ago. I just connected the dots."
