We watched peoples reactions as they got closer and closer. Sydney was the first to recognize them, of course.

"Oh. My. God." She said quietly, hoping they wouldn't hear. "I'm mentally screaming right now."

"What? Why? Who is--HOLY SHIT." Emma said, her blue eyes wide in confusion.

My team was a buzz with excitement, especially as the boys came over to us. Everyone on the team gathered around the back wall of the dugout so they could talk to the five gorgeous boys that surrounded us.

Well almost everyone. We all eyed Katie as she scoffed and turned towards the empty field, as though something super interesting was going on. I rolled my eyes. She can be such a bitch.

For the most part, I love my team.

Brayden is a genius and she's super pretty. She's tiny and athletic and such a sweetheart.

Emma is getting over ACL surgery so she can't play. The fact that she still comes to our games makes her super committed, and everyone admires that.

Alexa's quick to make anyone laugh within a matter of seconds, She gives her heart and soul into everything she does, and she's super talented. and loves One Direction just as much as we do.

Allison and her boyfriend have been going strong since freshman year, so we always go to her when we need relationship advice. She's a great person to have around.

Sydney is a little bit taller than me, and she's an amazing shortstop. She loves One Direction just as much as we do.

Madison is hilarious, and absolutely gorgeous. She's the girl version of Louis, and he's her favorite. But she completely ships Elounor, so she said she would just want Lou as a best friend.

Julia is everyone's little sister. She's coming out of 8th grade this year, so she's a lot younger than anyone else. But she's super talented and the sweetest girl you'd ever meet.

And then there's Katie. She thinks she's amazing at everything she does and she always wants to be the center of attention. She has a terrible attitude, and she lies a lot. No one really pays any attention to her anymore, because she loves to start drama. I'm not one to hate on other people, especially a teammate, but no one can stand Katie.

"Alright, everyone. Huddle up," Coach said. I waved to Niall as he and the other boys went to find seats in the bleachers.

Like before all games, Coach told us what we needed to do and gave us our positions. I was the starting second baseman, and Savannah was the catcher. We jogged out to the field and the game started.

The leadoff hitter for the other team hit a fly ball, which Julia caught with ease. One out.

Madison, who was pitching, struck out the next batter. Two outs.

The next ball game to me, but It was really far to my left. I dove for the ball, and flipped it to Brayden while I was on my stomach. The boys began to cheer obnxiously, which was quite funny.

The game went by really fast, with Savannah hitting a single, a deep fly ball to left field which was caught, and a home run. I don't think I've ever heard the boys scream as loud as they did when Savannah's ball went flying over the fence.

I grounded out to the third baseman, and hit two singles. Not a bad game for either of us.

"We should come to your games more often!" Zayn said, excitedly. We all agreed. It was a lot of fun seeing (and hearing!)  them in the stands. I'm sure the rest of my team thought so, too.

When we got home, Savannah went over to her house to shower again and change into her pajamas. Much to Liam's delight, she was spending the night again.

I took a really long shower, and by the time I got out, Savannah was already back in my room.

"So what happened between you and Niall?" she asked me, curiously.

"It was nothing--" I started saying.

"You know damn well that was not nothing!" Savannah tried arguing with me.

"Savannah," I persisted. "It was just a meaningless kiss."

For him, I thought.

I'm sure he thought nothing of it.

As sweet as Niall may be, I know that he has girls obsessing over him every single day. I'm sure they're all a lot smarter, prettier, and skinnier than me.

So if it was meaningless for him, I'll just make it meaningless for me. Even if it meant so much.

Niall's POV:

I was going to the bathroom and on my way back downstairs I heard my name.

"So what happened between you and Niall?" a voice belonging to Savannah asked.

"It was nothing--" Kylie started to say.

Nothing?

"You know damn well that was not nothing," I heard Savannah try reason with her.

"Savannah," Kylie said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "It was just a meaningless kiss."

My heart sunk.

That's all she thought it was?

Her words rang over and over again in my mind.

It was just a meaningless kiss.

I went downstairs and opened the door, ready to leave.

"Mate, where are you going?" Harry asked me, looking concerned.

I didn't even try to hide the hurt and anger in my voice.

"I'm going for a walk," I snarled.

I slammed the door behind me, not sure what my destination was.

All I know is that I'd rather be anywhere else than here.
