Chapter 12 "The Pink Moon"

Native American told season though the moons. The celestial body considers this moon the egg moon and those coastal tribes consider it the fish moon. In the coven, it meant a few things to others who embrace their lineage. I myself think of it as another moon. I do try to be a part of the coven, but I had been lacking in keeping up with holidays.

So being part of whatever is going on today is not in mind. The offer to runaway for the weekend seen more exciting with Jave than sitting around with a group of chanting. The drive from Texas to Florida is not as long as I thought.

It was so relaxing the ride there and very quiet between the both of us. Somehow I felt secure and comfortable with Jave as I notice the palms trees that were placed as decoration in the state. It was nothing like Texas where there's cattle farms and state of Texas on the freeway.

"I have been thinking about doing something crazy." Jave glance at me for a few seconds off the road.

"What would you like to do?" I asked as excitement fill my body on our road trip.

"Let's get married," Jave stated with laughter as some impatient drivers blew their horns from behind.

I watched the yellow van pass us up in a hurry. How could Jave kid around with words of forever I thought as I continue to notice the cars on the highway and townhomes?

"Why are playing with words like this?" I said as I sat waiting for Jave to answer me.

"I'm ready," Jave replied in a more serious way than a chuckle under his voice.

Did the first boyfriend I ever had in my life just ask me to be his wife? He's everything a girl could ask for in a man. He's extremely handsome, the perfect car, and an educated man with a purpose. I'm just a right out high school girl with a dream of being a singer. The one thing that might never let that dream come true and had to deal with my family. A sick twisted destiny of being born to a witch.

"I'm ready," I remarked as I turn to Jave as I watched him driving the highway.

"We could always go to Orlando judge." Jave continues to drive.

"I want you to be the man that be there for me as I long as I am alive," I remarked as Jave stop at a red light for a few minutes to look over at me one more time.

"I will always be there for you, I won't ever let you go." Jave leaned over and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.

What did I do? Well, I regret this moment in time of getting married early? The one thing I do know is that I don't want to lose Jave. He has been the best thing that has happened to me in my life. Each morning I have to pinch myself to make sure me among the living and not a dream. Sometimes I feel like I died and Jave have not explained to me I am now dead.

The city clerk hall was pretty empty. It was not what I hope for since I was having cold feet in my flip flops I bought at Macy's spring sale. I was also shaky filling out the forms but Jave did not tend to mind my wreckless behavior. I knew the rational part of me was asking what you are doing. This was not your plan at all to be surrounded by a group of legal geeks performing a quick elope. Nevertheless, my spirit guides actually felt like they abandon me on the trip here.

I watched Jave as he paid for everything. He looks so genuine in his jeans and I figure staring at the city clerk dress in a white blouse with pink nails that I could always lie when I get back to Texas. No one really has to know back home. The moment saw so romantic. That what lovers do when they are out of their minds in love with one another before they wake to their senses of what actually happens.

"Thanks," Jave responded to the clerk with the name badge that said, Kennedy.

I held Jave hand tight as we approach the courtroom with the judge there ready to perform the wedding ceremony. I felt like things were going so fast I did not even remember anything as we walk down the hall from the clerk office. We both stood still as I felt Jave's handshake as well. He had finally got the cold feet as well. Could something be wrong with our information? This was not an original church wedding with everyone you knew and loved. We were with a pure stranger in a civil ceremony.

"Love is patient and kind. It never envies, proud or boasts. Never get to the point young couple that the world will lead you to think you are better than one another." the judge remarked as he stood in front of us.

"In marriage, you should never be angry, record each other wrongs without forgiveness." he continues as Jave took one look at me one more time.

"True love is never a place for evil or self-seeking for any reason." the judge pat Jave softly on the arm.

"You are to protect him, and he should protect you unless love fails." the judge took my hand.

"Where is the ring?" he questioned.

A ring I thought. A few seconds my mind race of just getting off the highway from Texas. I never had any plans on buying Jave a ring. Jave unhooks the necklace around his neck that he wore since I met him but I paid little mind of it. There hung a ring on his gold chain.

"I don't need a ring." Jave places the golden marquee diamond ring on my finger.

"Marriage is great in hope, faith and love like you have shown here, Mr. and Mrs. Shehata." the judge smiled as I admired the ring on my finger. "In the state of Florida, I pronounce you husband and wife."

Jave kiss me. The man I love to kiss me. He kisses me.
