Chapter 15 "Bright Eyes"

Folklore 101 is a little different today. I am a little relief about it since witches, vampires and werewolves are not the only to talk about in a semester. The sad thing is to make everyone at the university believe there are no witches and from my coven vampires has been around for centuries. We are learning about faes. I was like what is that too but it is a fairy. You know the kind of stuff that children watch on cartoons.

"Good morning class." Professor White said as he stood in front of our class staring at me for a moment.

A lady walked in as a guest speaker. She wore blue jeans, a nice shirt with some cowboy boots. She looked like one normal country girl. I watched her as she sat her things down to the floor. I was wondering what could on earth possible will she teach.

"Ms. Perry is a paranormal writer who has done a lot of research on these mythical creatures." Professor White said stating applause around the classroom for our guest speaker.

"I am Ms. Perry and I love to write about fairies but there is a long history about them."

I was shocked to hear there was actually a history on a ticker bell. I thought of my recording tomorrow than about class. Jave had truly help talking to the local record business to give me a shot. It was more than what I have done alone. It gave me that push of faith I need to believe in myself since he believes in me.

"These little creatures are good beings, pale-skinned with green eyes, beauty, wings and very short in stature." Ms. Perry continues to describe the legend of a fairy to class and I finally focus back into my course.

"Fairies have the abilities to shapeshift, to glamour and have changeling." Professor White add for he could not keep quiet at his desk and let this moment be for the guest author.

"This is the dark side of fairies. You never hear stories that they left behind a fairy child and stolen a human baby." Ms. Perry remarked as I felt a movement in my womb.

It was frightening to think that something as cutie could be so evil if they were actually good. I took notes as the author continues to talk on the subject. I had no intention of writing long novels at any time. I was ready for the stage with my guitar. I wanted people to hear the lyrics from my heart pour out and remember them way after I am gone. The class was over as expected.

"Can you stay Penny?" Professor White asked as the guest speaker exist the college classroom.

"Yes." I picked up my bags and felt unsure of the next moment which gave me sweaty palms.

He walked around me quite silently as though he was hearing something. I notice Professor White long hair, hairy palms and with him chewing on his pencil. I knew he shouldn't talk any more of Jave since his teeth were more canine sharp than Jave would ever appear.

"Full moon turns the human man into a werewolf which can cause the cursed man to be violent." Professor White stop for a moment to sit on his desk.

"Professor White, Jave is not a werewolf and not me." I shook my head to face him holding back anger that he would pick with only me after class.

" No I was guessing you were a witch since your paper defends the witch trials so perfect and you are doing so perfect in this course," he remarked as he stared at me. "I wanted to know you're major."

My face turns into a smile. I felt a relieve feeling going over my body where my heartbeat slows down, I could take a deep breath. The voice of my spirit guide shouts continuously in my ear to be alarm and frighten. This only happens on rare of an occasion where my life was actually saved.

"I am a music performance major." I took my graded paper from his hand as he sat smiling back at me.

"That is nothing like our good counselor and a strange pair you are." Professor White stood on his feet and open his briefcase.

I said no more existing the college classroom as quickly as possible. I promise to meet my husband for lunch. The thoughts ran through my brain why would my spirit guide want me to be cautious about Mr. White. The last time I was alert with fear of words was when I actually left the local bank and in a few minutes later it was reported on the news that robbers had entered. Professor White was a normal man that was super freak himself loving the paranormal world. That seen normal to me because freak is in my DNA. There's no arguing the point that this was nothing lesser than the truth.

"Married?" a soft hand touches my cotton blouse.

It was Stormy chasing behind me from her theatre course. We both wanted to be in the entertainment business for at least some part of our lives. She stood with her gothic shirt, leather boots and camouflage pants with her eyes lined with black.

"Yes, don't say we were going to wait to Paris or London to meet the right not so American." I laughed as I showed her the ring that Jave hung around his neck while I knew him.

"I always dreamed of being your maiden of honor while you were dressed as the corpus bride." Stormy place her hand on her hip and acted to be mad.

I gave her a huge hug and hand her the letter from the record producer Jave hooked me up with. I softly hit her on the back and took her long hair from out of a face that blew wildly in the wind.

"It's really happening for us!" Stormy scream in delight dropping her textbooks to the ground.

"My new hubby might not speak French or have a British accent but he was the right one." I smile as we rush to pick up her books.

We both knew that one day it would happen for us. No matter who came first, we would help each other. Stormy was more than a friend to me but a real sister. We hoped for this day since we met on that Beltane holiday.
