Chapter 11 "Daffodils"
The weekend was great. Coming to campus seen much brighter than ever before and I was actually happy to go to Folklore class. The class was full as the norm. I sat smiling since Jave's and I had a special date last night. I cannot wait for the surprise.
"Werewolves, she-wolves I know everyone has found information on these mystical creatures." Professor White sat his briefcase on the desk. I open my notebook and started my recorder for the lecture. I press the button on the recorder until it was red.
"Many of you want to hear about silver bullets. Many do not know the truth of the myth of the magical world other than what Hollywood made up with a few screenwriters. It is more interesting the true facts on those myths." Professor White said.
"How much is true about what television has taught us on these fairytales." one student said while the class chuckle among us.
"When a witch and a werewolf mate, a remarkable monster is created." Professor said as he took a seat on top of the desk."
"Beautiful and illumining at the same time," I remarked under my breath.
"Yes, Ms. Gibson that would be correct." Professor White said glancing over at me.
My heart stops at that time. I knew that smart remarks were not appreciated during this lecture.
"The Flower Queen and the Hunter King will rule all over the magical world and become a great team against the underworld who fell to our most disturbing demons." Professor White said as I jointed down his words.
"Are they partying with vampires?" one student asked raising his hand making the class laugh.
"We really don't know my fellow student but rumors have it that one is already born through these cults that believe in these mystical animals." Professor White replied to the class as we all hushed.
"Please pass these internet resources to everyone, maybe the Hunter King is as real as chupacabra in Conroe Texas or the vampires that lark New Orleans and the streets of New York" .Professor White suggested as he hands the staple papers to the first student who began to pass the notes to us.
I sat waiting for the paper. Professor White saw so passionate about the subject. The curiosity of wanting to know why it was so important to him wrestle me inside as I waited in patience. I cannot help it.
"Professor White you have seen so passionate about this subject," I stated as I rose my hand. "Why?" I put my hand down as he gave me his attention.
"Not like others folklore professors I believe that werewolves are real and gain scientific on imaginary creatures to monsters is what I live to do other than teach about it."
Professor White said as he turned back to walk toward his desk.
The bell rung loudly over the campus. My mind was still full of questions about the myth.
"Ms. Gibson can I speak to you." Professor White requested.
I walked toward the professor desk and laid my book down on the wooden desk. Professor White watched the other students leave standing still. I felt my legs shake and my palms became sweaty. What could he want with me? The laws had passed to accept Wiccan as a religion. No one truly believes that humans practicing the craft really have any powers.
"You know the counselor is sort of a bad egg," he stated.
I was shocked to hear those words come Professor White. It was none of his business what Jave do. I felt my anger rush through my veins but I remind calm.
