I crept around the cargo yards, watching the guards make headway across the lengthy corridors of cargo bins.

My hand rested unsteadily on the Glock's trigger. I was trying to avoid bloodshed if I could, but I doubted I could be that lucky.

I watched as a guard, a particularly lazy-looking one at that, looked around, and he let his rifle lean on the cargo bin nearby.

"Finally. I can get a f*cking break from this stupid job," the guard muttered as he unzipped his fly.

In the poor light, he didn't see me coming. I got him in a headlock, and my arms were as solid as metal bars. When the poor guy fell limp, I gave him a vicious bop on the skull, and I could tell he wasn't going to have sweet dreams anytime soon.

I started to look around, and then I had a bright idea.

I yanked the radio off of the guard's vest, and I listened to the static. For a couple minutes, I was starting to get discouraged, but then I heard a crackle.

"It's 2300 hours. All guards, group up at Row 6, Sub-Dock 3, prepare to load everything on. I repeat, Row 6, Sub-Dock 3." I tucked the radio inside my pocket, checked my Glock one more time, and I started to run.

.......

"Hey, has anyone seen Kevin?" a guard said as I was crouched behind an oil drum.

I heard clanking noises as the guards carried the cargo onboard. I couldn't help but hold my breath, but when I peeked over the drum, the guards seemed to be somewhat relaxed. I mean, why wouldn't you be when it's twelve o'clock midnight?

Then, I heard another voice: "Have you finished loading?"

"No sir, we still have-"

"THEN FINISH YOUR DAMN JOB! You already have spent two hours doing God knows what, and you still have four or five crates worth of weapons and technology still in the docks!"

"I'm s-sorry sir." I heard the other guy mutter, and I knew I didn't have a lot of time left.

"Here we go." I muttered to myself as I aimed down my sights at the guard. My hands were trembling, and I held my breath.

I pulled the trigger.

CHIK! The quiet sound was deafening in the night silence, and I couldn't help but flinch involuntarily.

"What the f*ck!? Someone get an alert out, we have an intruder! Yes, there is an intruder!! Now go find him before he inflicts any more casualties!" I stood up and jumped, my fingers catching the edges of the crate.

I pulled myself up, and I stood up on top, admiring the chaos.

"HEY! Up there!" a guard shouted. I let out a mental curse, and I instinctively crouched as I heard the RATATATA of gunfire.

I aimed, shot, and one went down.

These targ-I mean men, all had really bad aim. As in, stormtrooper standard aim. So I had an easy time picking them off, one by one.

Then, one of them hefted something onto their shoulder.. When I heard the fwoosh of a rocket, I stood up, and hoping for the best, I held my hands out.
