Chapter 5~ Halloween Ball

{Ed's POV}

After Sam left last night, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about Sam. His touch, his skin, where do I begin? I drift off into a daydream then snap out of it when someone smaller comes and hugs me from behind.

"Hey handsome" Bella says giving me one last squeeze beiges letting go. "Hi gorgeous" I kiss her on her lips. She smiles into our kiss and looks into my eyes. I could look into her big beautiful brown eyes forever.

"I thought you had a class on the other side of school?" I step back. " I can be late...just as long as you're the reason why." She gives me her adorable smile. Bella looks away for a second then back into my eyes. "Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house for a little bit." I give her a smile and accept her offer, I mean it is our 1 year anniversary. She kisses me one last time right as Sam walks over.

"Hi Bella, hi Ed." Sam excitingly says as he reaches us. "Hi Sam." Bella and I say in Union. "Sam, it is so good to see you but I really need to get to class." Bella smiles then walks away.

"Alright, what happened with David that's making you all giggly and bouncy," I chuckle closing my school locker. "Something great must have happened." Inside, I'm hoping not but I can't let Sam see that. He sheepishly smiles at me then blushes. " yes, it was a very fun date - but we got a little sloppy..." Sam goggles them puts his head down as I look at him. "I knew it! I knew you couldn't keep your promise!" I say as I playfully punch him in the shoulder. "Hey hey hey, I won't go into detail but I wanted to share at least how it went with you." He smiles even more. I can't tell you enough how much I love looking into his big beautiful eyes. They shine so bright and are filled with life. We talk a little more and head off in separate directions when the bell rings. Before I loose sight of him I turn back around to get one last look at him.

***At Bella's house***

I arrive at Bella's house and before I can reach her doorstep she quickly opens it and launches into a kiss. I step back a little to keep my balance then wrap my hands around her small waist. "Well something important must be happening tonight if I get greeted with that" I chuckle when we pull apart. She just smiles and leads me into the living room. When I walk in, I see "Halloween Ball would be dead without you, so be my date?" spelled out in my favourite chocolate; Hershey's kisses. I turn back around and pick her up in my arms. She wraps her legs around my sides and hugs me. I kiss her neck then tightly squeeze one more time before letting her down. Bella giggles when I say yes, and we sit to start eating the chocolate. After all, Hershey's is my favourite candy.

"Ed, we're so fat!" We've practically eaten all the chocolate!" Bella exclaims when she notices there are way more wrappers than Hershey's chocolates on the floor. I just laugh and say, "You're not fat, I am. I ate like twice as many as you did!!" We both sit there and laugh our arses off when she comes over and tackles me. She wrestles me to my back and lays on top of me, pinning my hands above my head. "You're right; I'm not fat you are" She giggles. "oh that's it Bella," I chuckle, quickly getting up(since she is so much lighter than me) and throw her over my shoulder. "ED!! STOP WHAT ARE YOU DOING" she yells non stop laughing. "You'll see." She has a pool in her backyard that her family hasn't covered up yet. When she realizes where we are outside, she starts to playfully kick my stomach. "Bella you ready?!" I ask, not really looking for an answer "ED I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD IF I GO IN THAT POOL WERE BREAKING UP" She squirms in my arms. "Well then I guess this will be our last adventure." I get a running start and jump into the pool with her still in my arms. The cold pool water rushes around me as Bella punches my in my arms. "Oh my god Ed this is sooo cold!!" She squeals. She can't help but laugh and swims to me. "I knew you couldn't break up with me." I smirk before I kiss her. " I wish I could, but I love you too much" she smiles and gets out of the pool. We dry off, and get into her bed. Bella falls asleep in my arms. Before I drift off to sleep, I can't help but think of how much I miss Sam even though I'm with Bella...

{Sam's POV}

David had asked me to come to his house again, for something important. As I arrive at his house, I'm anxious to see what he needed. He told me to walk right in, I didn't need to knock. I thought that was strange, but I do as he said. I can hear faint music as I walk down the halls, the sound growing louder as I get to his room. When I get to the doorstep, I see "Halloween Ball?" written out in pictures that we've taken together over the last year. He sits next to his masterpiece on the floor, holding a bouquet of roses. I feel hot tears in my eyes, and smile. David gets up and holds me. I melt into his arms and nod. I grab his cheeks and kiss him passionately. Still kissing, we walk to his bed and sit down. During our breather, I hug him, holding him close. After silence passes, I claimed, "Of course I'll go with you; I wouldn't want to go with anyone else." He grins at me and we fall back on his bed.

Staring at the ceiling David quietly asked "Sam, why do you love me?" I roll over on my side and look into his eyes. " I love you because you care about me so much, and I feel safe when I'm with you. You're so kind and are always there for me. But for bonus, you're extremely sexy and hot." David giggles and rolls on his side. "If I could have my way, I'd kiss you every minute of every day, never letting go of you." And with that, my lips crash into his once again. "Who says you can't?" I giggle kissing his nose. Hours pass as we talk about everything, laughing and getting serious about things.

When I check my phone, the clock says it's almost 10. "Oh shit," I say getting up. "I need to get home! My parents are probably worried sick about me." David helps me get out pictures together with my flowers and walks me out to my car. He hands me the flowers and a white envelope falls out. As I go to open it he stops me. "Read it when you're alone babe." He gives me it back while I hop in my car. We say our goodbyes, and I go home. When I walk in, I'm not surprised at the greeting my parents give me. "Where the hell have you been Sam!? You're mother and I have been worried about you!!" My father yells. "You couldn't have called or anything!" My mum questions. "Mum. Dad. Stop. I was at David's...he asked me to the Halloween Ball." I show them the picture of what it looked like and I grab the pictures to share with my family. While they all gag over my pictures, I slip away to my room with the envelope. I gently shut my door as I start to open it. The paper lingers with David's scent. I open it to reveal a letter he had written me:

Dear Sam,
I wanted to give you this on our anniversary, but I wanted you to read it when you were alone. I wanted to say how much I love you, and I truly mean that. I'm so happy we met, because no one has ever made me feel the way you do. You make em feel one of a kind, and I love you so much more for that. From the moment I met you I knew I felt something special. I know this is short, but that's all I wanted to share...for now. Stay beautiful my dear,

Oh great. More tears are filling my eyes to the point where I can't see anymore. Instead of holding them in, I let them run down my face, every couple dripping onto my fingers. I hold the letter to my chest, and just stay like that for a while. Finally, when the tears come to a stop, I lay down in my bed and drift off to sleep.
