"Luciana.... Are you planning on getting up soon? It doesn't really look good to be so late, you know."
I stir at my father's voice. Is it really morning already? My hands rub at my face to try and wake up.
"I'mcomin'..." I yawn and stumble to the door to open it.
There stands my father, Lilura, and the Prince. I hear a small chuckle from Zerah as I turn my attention to my dad.
"Uh, Honey. It looks more like you are ready for bed." He points to my hair and clothes that I now notice are both a complete mess. Guess I slept really hard last night. I can feel the pink coloring rising on my cheeks. That's why he's chuckling at me.
"You know how hard it is for her to wake up, Dear. Just give her a minute." My mom's voice answered back. Only then did I notice she was working nearby.
I smiled a bit. "R-right. I'll be right back." I quickly dipped back into my room and started to get dressed.
A quick brush through my hair to tame the mess a bit before I tied the top half up as always. My tunic was freshly cleaned thanks to Mom and my armor was pulled on out of habit. I glance out the window to see the sun high in the sky. It's gotta be past noon. Guess traveling all night really makes one tired.
I reached for my long sword but stopped as my eyes fell on the Master Sword that rested next to it. It really wasn't a dream.
I gently felt the weapon with my fingers. It was smooth and chilled to the touch. It was also the first time I really looked at the magical sheath that formed when it fell into my grasp. It was blue with an intricate gold design all around it. It matched the sword perfectly. Guess that made sense.
Would the Queen also react like everyone else at the news? I swallowed and picked up the sheath, sword stored safely inside, and fastening it against my back. Dad is right. We can't keep the Queen waiting. We need to tell her we found the Chosen Hero like she asked of us.
I finish getting ready and head out the door. "I'm ready."
"Good. Come on. The Queen and King are waiting."
I nod and follow Dad to the throne room once again. There we see only the Queen seated and waiting. I give a curtsy out of respect for them and stand by Lilura.
"Welcome back. I assume you found the Chosen Hero?" Queen Zelda speaks up though her eyes seem to be already on me.
Dad nods and looks to me, motioning for me to continue. I can feel myself getting nervous. Are they going to react like the others? I don't know and that doesn't do anything to help ease me at all. However, I know I need to just say it. Waiting isn't going to change the answer.
I step forward and draw the legendary sword into my hands. I lay it so the handle rests in my left hand while my right rests the tip of the blade, presenting it forward for her to see clearly.
"Um... I am the Chosen Hero, your Highness." I keep myself from biting my lower lip as I anticipate her reaction.
However, she merely smiles at me. It's like she already knew the answer and just wanted me to say it. It does ease my nerves to see her smile about it instead of looking at me like she's worried.
"That you are. I am happy your mission was successful." Her face twists a bit at she looks over the sword. "Something seems off, though. This is the Master Sword but it almost seems like its power is weakened..."
I look down at the blade. It does look a little less magical than what the stories all told of. "Why is that?" I ask as my eyes look back up at her.
