Chapter 8: Camping! What can go wrong?

Steven: Have you found a way to send back the Other Steven?

Steven and Connie looked at each other. Steven looked as he was about to cry, Connie was smiling with glee. They knew they had to write back, but it would take a while to do so.

"Steven, you know I could only do so much for you. My sources say they haven't found a way and we would need to ask White and Yellow for help."

".... I know, but they hate me and my dad."

"Is that what you think? Dear, they love you and miss you. All they know is that you're dead, maybe asking them for help won't be so bad. Come and visit, please. Even if it's in a disguise."

"I will see but for now Blue, Goodbye.'

Steven sighs, ' Should I visit them?'  He couldn't keep his mind off of them. He knew that going against them was a crime on its own. "What am I going to do?" He questions himself thinking about the Other Steven. 

He could risk his life to save him, but he needed to keep up with a certain villain organization. "Steven! I'm back, we just need to wait for them to call us back." Connie said as jumped off a certain shapeshifter. "Yo, I'm gonna take a cat nap. Peace!" the shapeshifter says as Bismuth and the others walk in with Gora.

"Hey! Help us out would ya?" she shouts with the unconscious fighter over her shoulders. Connie rushes over to grab her and move her to the interrogation room. The three with Bismuth had uncovered their heads. "You should be careful! You could've gotten severely hurt or worse Bismuth!" The taller said with extreme worry.

" I'm fine Peal, Don't worry." Bismuth replies as she sits down to relax. Pearl shakes her head as she heads over to the first aid kit. "You should really stop teasing her Bismuth," Ruby says with a smirk as Sapphire snickers. "She just really cares for you."

Steven looks over unsure when the phone rings. Everything stops and looks at the phone. Steven picks it up and moves to another room.

"Hello?...... Huh huh.... Alright, then we will see you soon then. Bye."

Steven smiles and calls Connie, Pearl, and sapphire to his room. "We got the confirmation. They are attacking the Camp. We go with their plan and we don't hurt the kids." The three nod their heads in confirmation and prepare to attack the camp in a couple of days. "Should we call... HER?" Connie asks.

—--- With UA at the bus—---

Steven is on the bus with Connie. She had to tell him soon she just didn't know when. It was a long drive to the camp and everyone was excited to see the new surroundings. When they felt the bus stop the teacher and students walked out.

Steven saw the forest and held Connie close. He wasn't listening to what the people in front of him say but when he felt the earth under him move he held Connie closer and they fell. Steven immediately put his bubble up around both of them as they fell.

"Steven, can you let me go? Please." Connie asks as Steven opens his eyes and quickly lets go of Connie without letting his bubble fall. "Sorry..." Steven whispers softly looking down. He starts walking with Connie listening to her.

They see the others and Midorya down on his knees. "That's everyone!" A person with cyan hair and a yellow dress says to her friends. Everyone looks at Steven and Connie Some wave and some smile at them. "Great! Okay everyone you all made it on time. Go eat and rest. The first thing tomorrow is training to get those bodies working!"

The hero says to everyone. "Steven, can you let the bubble go?" Connie asks. Steven nods reluctantly and sees Connie head to the table with food. "Eraserhead who are those two?" The hero with Red asks. "That Connie and Steven, Connie is quirkless and Steven has powers due to the gem on his stomach."

She nods as watches Steven looking longingly at Connie. "Hey! Steven right? I'm Mandalay." Mandalay says remembering what Nezu said about the boy and the information Aizawa gave her.

They see the others and Midorya down on his knees. "Thats everyone!" A person with cyan hair and a yellow dress says to her friends. Everyone looks at Steven and Connie Some wave and some smile at them. "Great! Okay everyone you all made it on time. Go eat and rest. First thing tomorrow is training to get those bodys working!"

The hero says to everyone. "Steven can you let the bubble go?" Connie asks. Steven nods reluctantly and sees Connie head to the table with food. "Eraserhead who are those two?" The hero with Red asks. "That Connie and Steven, Connie is quirkless and Steven has powers due to the gem on his stomach."

She nods as watches Steven looking longingly at Connie. "Hey! Steven right? I'm Mandalay." Mandalay says remembering what Nezu said about the boy and the information Aizawa gave her.

Three days pass at the camp and everyone is training hard. Steven and Connie are sparing against each other. Class-A and Class-B were getting ready for the night when they were called to play a game between each class. Connie looks around and saw two white glowing eyes.

'I have to tell him... the Gems should open a portal back soon.' She looks up at the sky hoping the Diamonds could help. Little did she know what was going to happen tonight.

Going through the forest she has her sword at the ready when she hears giggling. "What are you doing here sword girl. I thought you were with you're boyfriend.~" A girl said in an almost psychotic way. 

Steven hears Connie yell. He panics and turns pink as he runs to find her. He then see a bird monster as he rushes to get to her. "Connie!" Steven yells as he reaches her and holds her tight and fuses into Stevonnie. Stevonnie gets their shield and sword in a fighting stance.

"Toga, stop playing with the little heroes." A raspy voice says. "Right! Sorry Dabi." Toga responds as she looks at Stevonnie. "STEVEN! What are you doing! I could've handled!" Stevonnie becomes unstable and Connie pushes Steven out of the way and hits a rock.

The girl looks confused and tilts her head. She smiles as she calls someone. Steven couldn't do a thing as he sees the mist guy, known as Kurogiri, takes her away in the portal. Steven stopped breathing as flashes of memories come flooding back.

"KACHAAAN!!" Midorya shouts in the distance.

Steven sits there not being able to process what happened until his other self finds him. He reaches the boy and looks into his eyes. "Come on kid, lets get you out of here."
