Crystal Crisis (REWRITE)

CHAPTER 1: Interrogation

"So... kid. You're saying that you have no idea where you are or what happened?" A police officer asks Steven. "YE- yes. That is exactly what I am saying!" He replies nervously not needing any stress. As he fiddled with his hand breathing heavily.

"Hey kid, calm down." A voice is heard from the door of the room Steven is in. He looked up to see a tired man with a rather really skinny dead looking guy next to him. "Okay." Steven replies. "What's your name, child?" A small voice askes. Steven looks down and sees a mouse, human like creature.

"O-oh right... Well my name is Steven Universe." The 4 people inside the room look at him in shock. 'Who's last name is Universe?' Aizwa thought to himself. "Well Universe-san my name is Nezu. And these two here will be your teachers, Eraser Head and AllMight." Steven smiled nervously and waved. He looked down at the mouse and only gave him a sigh. "I'm sorry Mr. Nezu, but I can't go to school."

Nezu looked up at the boy with curious eyes and smiled. "Well. Why not? Did your parents want to hide you?" Nezu asked, wanting an answer. Steven's heart ached in pain. He looked down then sighed. "I really was just homeschooled by Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst. My uh... dad is a manager for music bands and stuff. Oh!! My best friend is actually the only person I know who goes to school so... yeah." Steven explains and they all just looked shocked. Well except Nezu. Steven was just as old as their students and he hadn't had the chance to talk to real people, or that's what they assumed.

"Well Universe-san you can attend my school for heros, or be in jail. Since we don't know where or when you came from I offer you a place at my school and attend 1-a. We'll give you a week to think about it." Nezu turns to leave as the others follow behind. The police officer grabs Steven and brings him to a cell with someone else. Steven decided not to show his gem powers.

When he got into the cell he saw that there were two people in the cell. "Great... another child." One of them said. "C'mon Jas don't be that way." The other said. Steven just sighed and closed his eyes as he sat down. He was obviously very tired and scared.

Right now he was supposed to be calling the gems but he can't, maybe he can try to call Lion but he knew he couldn't either. When he opened his eyes he was in a different room. He was in a dark pink room. He looked at his surroundings and started to freak out as if time was stopped. He felt trapped and he couldn't breathe.

"...id...K... KID WAKE UP!!" Someone shouts. Steven jolts up panting and sweating with his eyes wide. He was holding his chest and breathing heavily. "Jeez kid.... you scared us there for a while." The taller woman said. "Are you okay? Jas tried wakin' you up, then you started to turn pink!" The shorter one asks. Steven looked at the taller woman. 'Jasper?' He asks himself as he looks at them in a daze.

"What... happened?" Steven asks as his eyes widen in realization. He remembers seeing a pink chest with the revolution flag. "Um... can-can I um... go outside for a bit? Please?" He asked the guard. The guard nodded his head no and Steven was ready to start panicking.

The other two in the cell just stared at the resemblance this young boy had to their boss. 'Woah... this kid looks so much like boss...' Jasper said in her head. They waited for two days. Steven barely spoke with anyone. He didn't sleep at all. He stayed up most of the night and Jasper took notice. He simply couldn't sleep. He needed to talk to pearl or even Garnet, but he didn't know where they were. He was scared and that didn't help that he was in a cell. " Hey kid, what's on your mind?" Jasper asked with worry. Steven looked at her and just gave her a nervous smile. " I- uh.. I don't belong here." Steven said with the most convincing voice ever. Jasper sighs, " I know kid. You're the original boss was talking about, figures." Steven laughed a bit. ' I miss them.' he thought to himself. " C'mere kid." Jasper tells him and opens her arms. Steven somehow breaks down and falls asleep in her arms. " He really acts like him huh Jas," Lapiz says in a quiet tone, getting comfortable on Jasper. "Yeah...". The next morning Steven got up to Jasper telling him he had to get up.
