Crystal Crisis (REWRITE)

Chapter 9: Connie leaves...

Steven has been unresponsive and slowly turning pink. He wanted to protect her but this was different. He was unable to protect her from her captors. He was in a room his eyes had diamond pupils and he was afraid. It was his fault that Connie was captured, his fault his friend died, his fault. It was always his fault.

Memories flash across his mind of the good and the bad. He was scared of everything that had crossed his mind. 'No...Not again, I'm not my mom, I'm not my mom.' His body slowly changes into the full Pink form the power so immense even The Diamonds feel it.

"LET US GO YOU, DAMN BASTARDS," Bakugo shouts at the L.O.V mad that he was captured and having made Deku look down on him. Connie has yet to wake up only to see herself drifting in her sleep. Looking around floating in her mindscape she sees a girl looking at her with fluffy light purple hair that can touch the ground.

"Amethyst? What are you doing here?" The figure didn't respond and only smiled. "Got it," Amethyst whispered and disappeared. Connie jumped as she woke up. Slightly panicked she started to look for her sword. Taking in her surroundings she waited until she heard an explosion.

Connie looked to her right and saw her sword out in the open concrete field. She saw heroes fighting and she was waiting. She looked up and saw a small group flying in the sky. She assumed that someone was safe. Connie got up and ran towards her sword. When she got it a hand was on her neck pressing ever so slightly. "Move another step and you will die." A scratchy voice said to her.

Right at that moment, a pink flash pulls her away from the danger. The villain was shocked, "What are you?" He asked but was cut short when he saw the creature who pulled the girl out from his grasp. "Steven?" Connie asked. Steven turned to look at her. His face looked almost all pink stones. One of his eyes had a diamond pupil. He was half corrupt. No one was paying attention until All Might shouted, "YOU CAN ALL BE HEROES, PLUS ULTRA."

Steven looked over as All Mights form depleted and lost the remaining power his body held. Far off into the distance the people of Japan have lost their hero, their number one.

A roar once again was heard as a portal opened. Steven looked at the girl in his arms and smiled heartbroken. Despite her struggle to fight the villains Steven stops her and motions her to Lion. Connie reluctantly looks at the large cat and nods. No words were spoken but a promised whisper. Steven smiles at her as she gets on Lions back and they retreat back to Little homeschool.

The portal closes infront of Steven knowing if he tried to go through now, when corrupted, he wouldn't know the outcome. No, he wouldn't risk the outcome. The villans for retreat as the heroes come and help those who fell.

The Diamonds demanded an audience with Rose. Endeavor became the number one Hero and Steven was kept under surveillance. His gem calmed down as he recalled Garnets words. It's just a thought and I'm here. He wanted to cry but didn't allow himself too. Not many words were spoken to him. After Bakugou came back he was scared. He felt guilt.

"Aizawa, how is our guest and your students doing," Nedzu asked. Aizawa was concerned for his students. He didn't have a response. Nedzu waited patiently for Aizawa to answer him. A quiet response only Nedzu could hear. He smiles and walks off to his office.

The Diamonds were upset at their sister for releasing her energy. Rose explained it wasn't her though it was technically her. Blue ordered Blueberry to call her nephew. She knew he'd know what to do. They waited as the phone rang and rang.

Steven: hello? Blue?
Blue: Hello dear, could you come to the agency? We need to discuss something with everyone.
Steven: She's there too. Isn't she?

The boy asked cold towards his aunt. Though she knew their relationship wasn't the best and understood it. Her relationship with her older sisters were complicated. But she didn't dare compare it to a relationship of a mother and son.

Blue: Yes. It concerns the topic of... the other Steven in this world.

Yellow: If what you said earlier is true then we have to help. This... Other StevAn is a danger to himself and the people.

Steven: I'll be there. But I'm bringing my friends. With me.

Rose: You have no friends! You shouldn-
Beeeeeeeeeeeep

The room was entranced with the melodic sound of the phone out of service. Yellow laughs at her younger sister as Blue is disappointed in her. White snickered at her youngest sister's despair. "Oh Starlight, what did you expect? You shunned him after... well you know." White speaks as Rose's face turns dark. She waited in her bubble for her son.

The room was quiet but as quick as the quiet came it became loud as Lemon announces the Diamonds of their arrival. "Diamonds, the Crystal Gems are here!" She speaks clearly.

The Gems enter as Ruby and Sapphire are close to Steven to protect him. Bismuth and Pearl stay apart and watch for any traps as Amethyst keeps an eyes on Rose.

Steven clears his throat, "So, what are we talking about?" Blue smiles and laughs lightly as Yellow, White, and Rose get serious. "Is that how you great your mother?" Rose asked in disbelief. "Now your my mom? How kind of you to care." Steven responds, venom in his voice.

"Now now child as much as I would like to see a fight we cannot fight here. We are here to discuss your counterpart, from another dimension, apparently." White explains calmly. Steven smiles at her. " Lemon, Raspberry, and Blueberry why don't you take them to the guest room? They can stay the night as it is getting late." Blue exclaims excitedly and the three nod at her request. Steven grateful for his aunts actions take the offer to spend the night.

(Hello! It has been awhile and we are slowly reaching the end. I plan to update often just a lot has happened to me this past year. The updates will be slow and i hope to still write longer chapters I hope you enjoy this chapter though the last bits were typed on my phone so yeah... but I hope you enjoy it!)
