Chapter Seven: A King

"Hey, what are you looking so happy about? We've got another squad being sent for us." The soft voice of the individual was a direct comparison to their hellish demeanor, a gentle soul that had been corrupted. His leader looked to him with a grin so evil it frightened even the darkest of creatures to their core, sat in his throne of blood and bones he looked down upon the other man and spoke to him.

"I can smell it, don't you feel it in the wind or something? The Light, it's so strong I can almost taste it." He chuckled like an evil clown in a horror movie, staring down at his underling with wide eyes. "I'm hungry, Winters. I want it, the source is so strong I'm sure my sons can feel it in their bones."

"Sure, sure... What is the source of it though?" Not another word could fit into the miniscule gap between Winters finishing his question and the horned man answering.

"A Boy, a little defenceless boy with so much flavour, I want him Winters. I must get him at once, and I'll be doing it myself" King seemed almost ecstatic, knowing that surely something that tasty had to be protected by one hell of a guardian. Though it seemed Winters didn't care about what his master wanted at this current moment, ending the world was the true goal, why did he need to eat so many people to do that.

"You're powerful enough as it is to wipe out entire armies with just yourself and a small horde, why we keep galavanting around after a tasty snack is beyond me. I'm here with you to end humanity, and I mean all of it so don't think you're not included. I'm sick of people, unfortunately I'm one myself." He was looked down on with annoyance, such a disobedient member of his pack should be eaten but being as strong as he was it seemed King needed Winters for just a while longer.

"Quit your complaining or you'll be fed to my sons, you're useful so don't make me tear your arms off." King wasn't impressed, the man may be older but his snide remarks to his leader were an issue and it made him insufferable, though to conquer what was left of the planet he would need powerful warriors like him.

As King sat in his throne, overlooking a pit so deep and black it was named the Void of the Calamity Point, a disgusting creature emerged from the inky depths. It had eyes on the sides of it's elongated head, yellowed teeth lining its gaping maw, a set of two tails with what seemed to be sharp almost blade-esc tips, its four legs ended in hand-like formations, it was truly a creature of hell.

"Ah ha ha ha ha, another is born, and it craves what was taken from it. Look at him Winters, here's your new brother in arms. Hahahahahahahahahaha, look at those hands, they'd surely love to tear a corrupt old man to pieces." The way King spoke of the Voided Creatures was almost like he was talking about people, calling them 'Sons' and 'Brothers', Winters didn't give two shits about what they were to him, all they were was soldiers.

"Yeah, another one of your precious little boys." As the words left his mouth a hand smashed across his face, it wasn't the creature, it had wandered off into the plains beyond the palace. But it wasn't a human, some odd amalgamation of that creature and King had leaped toward him and batted him to the ground. It was powerful and it was fast but most frightening of all is that it was still able to speak and it had a human mouth.

"WINTERS" The breath of the mutant was putrid, it looked down on him with blank eyes and a disgusting grin. "THESE ARE THE CHILDREN THAT WILL INHERIT THIS LAND ONCE WE COMPLETE OUR GOAL, DO NOT SPEAK ILL OF YOUR DESCENDANTS OR THEY WILL COME BACK TO DEVOUR YOU AFTER DEATH." It's speech was slurred and it slobbered all over the place, two things remained in the creature that it shared with the human form of King, the mind, and the evil grin.

"I get it, but now you're ruining my kimono." Winters sent a punch towards King's dark form that moved so fast and with so much power that it sent him flying, high pressure air was blasted from his elbow to move the punch forward at alarming speed and after it made impact and indiscriminate release of air blew back it's target with force comparable to a tornado. The body of a tanned man laid dormant behind the throne it once sat on, it's grey eyes peered around before it let out a howl of pleasure.

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, oooooooohhhhhh WINTERS, that was glorious. Your power, your unrelenting force ahhhhhhhh." He moaned as he spoke, it was more disturbing the louder he got. Walking up to the red-haired man now fixing his kimono, he laughed and moaned, a combination of sounds that made Winters want to throw up. "That was beautiful, I love you, hehe"

"Shut up you freaky bitch." He pushed back the vile man and walked toward a hallway, turning back to look at the satisfied individual. "Don't you fucking follow me." He spoke with a rougher tone than before, it was clear he was tired of King's shit. He walked down the dimly lit hall and made his way into a room labelled, 'Great Hurricane', the nickname he'd been given on the battlefield years prior, he hated it but King insisted it remain on the door to his room. The man stripped down to nothing and laid on the disheveled bed at the center of the floor, his scars ran all over his body, no matter where one would look, a mark from his past would always be there. His body was incredible if those weren't a bother to someone though, his toned physique made anyone who looked upon him ache for his touch.
