Me and my three brothers made a circle around my sister who was geared with a thick blind fold and noise canceling headphones.
We stood outside in the training field with our team watching.

Keith looked over at me when I nodded and gave them silent directions.

Chris took the first move.  Running forward and shooting his powers at Josephine.

Josephine sensed the attack and blocked the beams with her shielded arms.
Keith came sprinting behind her. Josephine's ear turned into the natural galra state as she growled.
Anthony came sprinted ahead of her as she turned to Keith's direction.
Josephine sniffed and curled up in a ball.

"Up!" Keith shouted before they crashed into each other.
Anthony formed his black and white wings and flew upward. Keith grunted as he flew forward and rolled in the dirt.
All five of us have wings due to our powers but Josephine is the only one with black wings.  The feathers on Tony's wings fade into black individually. Chris, Keith and mine are just white with very subtle black spots.

"You okay?" Spencer assisted him out of the streak of dirt Keith formed in the field.
"I'm fine." Keith responded.

"Chris! Pete!" Anthony hollered as he flew down.
We all powered up and shot our powers together at Jo.
She sent our a pattern of waves and one strong enough to throw us far into the field.

Josephine looked around. She could sense anything anymore.
"Here." Nova came forward and removed the gear.
Josephine freaked out for a moment before realizing her training was over.

Josephine's galra ears shook softly as she formed them back into the elf form she has to keep her secret.
"Well done, Josephine." Dad said.
"Thanks." She said in her joyful normal tone.

A year ago me and my siblings gained our powers. We've been training on them but it's been...difficult.

"Help!" Anthony's voice got louder as he sped by with his powers.
"I got it." Sage said.

Sage Anderson -juniper x Finn -youngest child

Anthony sped by and Sage set a shield around him.
Tony grunted and fell back. "Thanks." His voice was softer due to the barrier.
Sage broke down the shield and Anthony got back on his feet.
"Here you go." Spencer gave us five a cold bottle of water.

"Any missions yet?" Bailey asked with an excited tone.

"Not yet." Dad chuckled. "Us Elites are still pending on them."
Bailey groaned.
"Is there anything we can do?" Pearl asked.

"Well try outs for the team are being held in a few hours." Jo said. "If anything, we should get ready for that."
Sage and Bailey shrieked for joy.
"Do I have to socialize with any of them?" Anthony complained.
"Yes, Tony." Dad said.
"Anthony, some of them might be potential team mates." Josephine chuckled.
He groaned.
"Well if that happening a few hours..." Spencer started "We should probably get some rest."

Spencer is the son of one of Dad's old classmates. We basically grew up with him. His parents passed away last year so we took him in. Well we only know of his father. We never met his mother.
He really has that protective and kind spirit. Him and Josephine are really close, they're even roommates.
Dad made a good choice for our guard and her assistant. I still don't get why we need a guard.

Josephine

I was in the training room getting ready for the test.
I stood ahead of my locked and stared at my fluffy ears that caused me so much pain.
"Hey, Jo?" I heard the door open and close.
I flinched and gasped. Forming my ears isn't that quick so my initial reaction to to hide them. I grabbed the hood of my hoodie and pulled it over, tightening the strings.
"You okay?" Spencer rested his hand on the locker door and peaked at me.
I sighed in relief and leaned my head down "Yup."
The tall guy chuckled and turned him towards me. "You really shouldn't be insecure about your ears." He untied the strings and pulled the hood down reveal long my already morphed ears. "Isn't Atlas all about protecting all alien races. Especially those with galra blood."
"Just for my own safety." I shrugged. "You never know."

Spencer

"There might be some spies here." She make a jokingly face and pulled her shoulders to her ears.
I chuckled softly. "Come on. Try outs are about to begin. "

Our team stood at the end of the training forest for each person to come out. Each of them are timed and there are cameras to catch their moves and how they think while going through the forest of traps and distractions.
Our team takes a few days analyzing carefully with each person before picking the new members.

"Welcome to the crew!" Josephine greeted our new teammates in our training room with a welcoming and bright tone. "You three have been chosen out of 120."

"You are now members of the most elite squad that protects the universe from evil." Josephine turned her leader tone on. "In just a few days we will have mission for us. You as a member of this team are required to be in every mission unless my orders say other wise. Along with that we have training days every day unless, again, I say other wise." Josephine paused "Any questions?"
The three newbies shook there heads with a stern position; arms behind their backs and straight posture.
"And..." Jo smiled "No need to be so serious."
