After school, Bai Luo Yin directly walked out of the classroom. He usually waited for Gu Hai so they can walk together, but today, he acted like Gu Hai did not exist and cooly walked down the stairs, not even turning his head around for a single look.

Gu Hai rode his bike and slowly followed after Bai Luo Yin.

The auntie who swept the streets saw Bai Luo Yin, stopped what she was doing, and smiled at him.

"I remember that you have been riding to and from school on a bike recently! Why are you walking today?"

Bai Luo Yin forced a smile, "The bike broke. I'll just treat this as exercise.

Who would have thought that not only is this auntie's memory good, her eyes are also sharp. As soon as Bai Luo Yin finished speaking, the auntie pointed behind Bai Luo Yin, "Where is it broken? Isn't that guy riding it?"

Bai Luo Yin didn't turn his head. The injured left side of his face felt stiff.

"You missaw, it's not that bike."

"No way." The auntie smiled brightly, "Even if the bike changed, the person wouldn't change, right? I'm definitely not mistaken. I see him take you to and from school every single day."

Bai Luo Yin finally looked at Gu Hai.

Gu Hai purposely looked away, putting on an indifferent front.

"Oh my, what happened to your face?"

When Bai Luo Yin turned his face, the left side of his face was toward the auntie, so she saw the wound.

"It's nothing, Auntie. I don't want to bother you from your work anymore, so I'm leaving first."

...

They were already halfway home when Gu Hai discovered that Bai Luo Yin's left leg was limping. The quicker he walked, the more obvious it became, especially when he rushed to cross the street. In a sea of people, Bai Luo Yin was usually limping.

Gu Hai tried his best to fight the urge, but in the end, his will snapped.

He paddled with all his might and quickly overtook Bai Luo Yin. He then suddenly braked and threw the bike to the side.

"What do you want?" Bai Luo Yin furrowed his brow.

Gu Hai squatted down and pulled up Bai Luo Yin's pant leg before he could protest.

There was a large red and purple wound. The blood had already clotted and the tender flesh inside was exposed.

Gu Hai stood up, picked up the bike, and commanded in a deep voice, "Get on!"
Bai Luo Yin acted like he couldn't hear and walked past Gu Hai with a cold expression.

Gu Hai grabbed Bai Luo Yin and pulled him back. He used too much force, and Bai Luo Yin almost fell to the ground.

"What are you doing?" Bai Luo Yin became angry.

"I'm telling you to get on the bike!" Gu Hai yelled at Bai Luo Yin.

The two were at a standstill for a few minutes, neither speaking a single word. Bai Luo Yin's expression finally changed and he got on the bike.

On the whole way back to the house, they didn't say anything to each other. When Bai Luo Yin entered the house, Gu Hai turned around and left.

When Bai Luo Yin got off the bike, he thought that Gu Hai would grit his teeth and go inside. Who thought that he would actually leave.

...

"Dad, I'm home."

When Bai Han Qi saw Bai Luo Yin, he was so shocked that he almost dropped the bowl in his hand.

"Son, what happened to your face?"

Bai Luo Yin absent-mindedly replied that he's fine and entered his room with a dark expression. Bai Han Qi followed after him.

After Bai Luo Yin recounted what happened down to the minute, Bai Han Qi finally breathed a sigh of relief. He then remembered that he was still cooking a dish on the stove and rushed out of the room.

Alone in his room, the more Bai Luo Yin thought about what happened, the more upset he became. What is wrong with Gu Hai? Didn't he scold Gu Hai just once? Does he need to have such a big temper? He doesn't want to come inside? Fine, he can go wherever he wants to go! Besides, he has money, he won't starve to death!

"Yin Zi, come out and eat." Bai Han Qi hollered from outside.

Bai Luo Yin yelled back, "I'm not hungry, you should eat first!"

Bai Han Qi once again came into the room, "Why are you not hungry? Where's Da Hai? Didn't he come home with you?"

"He died!"

"Died?" Bai Han Qi's expression changed, "How did he die?"

"It's fine, Dad. Just forget about him, you should just go eat..." Bai Luo Yin pushed Bai Han Qi outside.

Bai Luo Yin opened his computer. Not long after he started playing some computer games, he heard a familiar voice coming from outside.

"Uncle, what are we eating tonight? Why didn't you wait for me?"

Bai Han Qi replied, brutally honest, "Our Yin Zi said that you died."

Gu Hai, "..."

Bai Luo Yin quickly walked out, wearing a fiery path into the floor.

"Who let you come inside? Aren't you unwilling to deal with me?"

Gu Hai's evil grin was once again on his face, "But I didn't acknowledge you yet! If you really want to think like that, then I came here to see my uncle and my grandma. Right, Grandma?"

"Yes, yes."

Grandma Bai already can't tell which one is her grandson anymore.

Bai Luo Yin turned around to return to his room, though the wounded corner of his mouth clearly showed the signs of a smile.

Gu Hai followed Bai Luo Yin inside and threw a bag of medicine onto Bai Luo Yin's bed. Bai Luo Yin finally understood what Gu Hai rode his bike out for.

"I already got some medicine at the infirmary. Why did you buy them again?"

"The medicine you got from the infirmary was bought together with other people's medicine. This is the medicine I bought for you, how can it be the same?"

After he spoke, Gu Hai swiftly fished out the bag of medicine from Bai Luo Yin's school bag and threw it all in the trash. Even the band-aids were not spared.
