Chapter 45: Give Me a Stick of Tanghulu.

Three stressful days finally passed.

"You actually took her words seriously?" Gu Hai smoothly used his chopsticks to put the ham slices from his sesame buns into Bai Luo Yin's bowl. "We've been together for three years, and she has always been suspicious of everyone. The truth is, I never had any kind of relationship with that girl."

Bai Luo Yin couldn't resist and said the truth, "With her looks, it's not a surprise that she doesn't feel secure in this relationship."

"You think I don't dare to hit you?" Gu Hai said as he laughed.

Bai Luo Yin lamented, "Dan Xiao Xuan suffered a beating for no reason."

"I wasn't the one who approached her. She was the one who insisted on clinging to me no matter what."

"You're not even the least bit attracted to her? A pretty girl like her, isn't she better than that tigress of yours?" Bai Luo Yin said, wanting to tease Gu Hai.

Gu Hai wasn't angered by his words at all, as if he was used to hearing people say that about his girlfriend.

"I don't like girls like her. I just like fierce, straightforward girls. I'll get tired just from standing next to girls like Dan Xiao Xuan." Gu Hai looked at Bai Luo Yin, "What type do you like?"

"I am the complete opposite of you. I like flirtier girls."

Gu Hai firmly gripped the back of Bai Luo Yin's neck.

"Then how come whenever Dan Xiao Xuan comes up to me, you always run away?"

Bai Luo Yin gave a faint smile, his words full of thorns.

"Her? I've already felt her up enough."

When Gu Hai heard the familiar shout of vendors, his heart did a little dance. He never thought that there would still be these road-side peddlers in this day and age. It seems like it has been a very long time since he had tanghulu. In the neighborhood he lived in before, it was so desolate and quiet that it was almost scary. There weren't very many quick-eat restaurants, let alone street vendors. Sometimes, he would pass by stores that specialize in tanghulu, but he wouldn't have the desire to enter.
