Quick note: Since a lot of people wanted to see Xiao, y/n, and their kid, I had an art work of that commissioned. Thank you to the artist and I hope you all enjoy!

"Sunsets are proof that ending can be beautiful too."

"We last left off on a story of Liyue of an adeptus and a goddess," a storyteller started as he opened his fan and waved his hand around to start his story. "It is said that one of the adepti of Rex Lapis, the last remaining one had given his power up to save the one that he loved, a goddess who had thrown her power and status away to be with him. They had been lovers for many millennia, constantly separated because of their differences."

~~~~~
"Y/n," Xiao smiled as he carried you in his arms spinning you around. "Have I told you I loved you?"
"You tell me that every day," you laughed as you felt the wind blowing through your hair.
"Because I love you forever and ever and I'll remind you of that every day," Xiao put you down.
"You're so cheesy," you crossed your arms. "You really need to stop."
"Only with you," he retorted laying his head over yours as he enveloped you in his arms and placed his head over your own.
"Do you ever regret me having you bring you back?" Xiao asked you, the mood in the air turning gloomy. "We're now regular people. No vision, no extraordinary status, just regular people."
"I should be asking you that," you moved your head and placed your hand on his cheek. "You gave up your status as an adeptus and gave up one of the things that made you, you. Your fighting ability."
Xiao placed his hand over yours which had cupped his cheek, "As long as I'm with you, those things don't matter. You're the only one that has ever made me this genuinely happy. I don't regret a thing."
"The same can be said of me. I don't care what I have to give up. As long as you're happy, that alone is happiness for me."
The two of you smiled at each other as you looked at the scenery before it. You stood atop the same cliff that you had met Xiao on all those years ago. It was the cliff that you and him and repeatedly gone to together.
You sat down and swang your legs at the tip of the cliff. Following you, Xiao also sat down and you laid your head on his shoulder like a pillow. Laying his head over yours, it was a moment of silence, a peaceful and calming silence.
The sun was setting and the moon and stars were starting to appear. The crickets could be heard with the song like blows of the wind. Leaves of trees rustled together to create a chorus of music and fireflies started to light up the incoming night.
It was truly a beautiful moment.
"Its already been ten years hasn't it," you broke the silence. "Since our life together."
"Every moment was memorable and wonderful. I'm finally able to have you in my arms, I'm finally able to see your smile, I'm finally able to eat your Almond Tofu, I'm finally able to tell you that I love you face to face," Xiao continued to watch the setting sun with you.
"You really are so cheesy," you nudged him, a blush forming on your cheeks. "Its cute."
"Only for you," he replied. "Only for you."
Placing a kiss on his cheek, you immediately stood up and looked down at the adeptus who had a bright pink blush, "You're so cheeky. You're like a different person. The cold, loner you has disappeared."
"Because of you," Xiao stood up and grinned before tackling you to the ground, his face over yours and his hands on each side of your face. "Whose fault do you think it is for me being such a lovesick idiot?"
"Mine," you giggled as Xiao placed a quick peck on your lips.
"Maybe I shouldn't have married you if I knew I was going to act so lovey-dovey like this."
"I like you this way too Xiao. You're absolutely adorable."
"You're the worst," Xiao growled. "You really have me dancing on the palm of your hand."
"And you have my absolute devotion," you cockly closed your eyes.
"Y/n," Xiao smiled. "You're so beautiful."
Blushing, you continued to look away not wanting your dear husband to see your red face.
"Eww," a voice sounded out, interrupting your moment. "Mom, Dad can you stop being so flirty. Its almost time for dinner and tonight is family night!"
Standing up and giving you a hand, Xiao apologized to the 6 year old girl that had spoke.
"Sorry sweetie," Xiao pat the girls head. "Your mommy and I got a little carried away."
"Uncle Diluc is coming over tomorrow right?" The kid exclaimed.
"Dont forget your Grandpa Zhongli," you laughed as you and Xiao held each of your daughters hands.
"She only likes Diluc because he always brings things for her," Xiao shook his head. "The expectation for Zhongli has risen if he wants to be named favorite Uncle."
"It's expected of Diluc," you said while both you and Xiao supported your daughter who was swinging around while tightly holding onto your hands. "He is the boss of Dawn Winery while Zhongli is practically always broke. Then again, as much is expected when your a god of mora who is trying to live as a regular person."
"I can't wait to see Uncle Diluc," your daughter grinned widely. "And I hope Uncle Zhongli has more storied to tell."
"I'm sure he has," you and Xiao shared a smile full of secret knowledge.
The three of you walked towards your home hand-in-hand with wide smiles painting your cheeks.
~~~~~

"But the adeptus gave up an important part of him to bring them back together," the storyteller continued to talk. "After millennia of being separated, the two are finally together living the life that they had wanted to live. It is said that they are still alive and can be seen walking around Guili Plains with a child in their hands."
