"The tears fall, they're so easy to wipe off onto my sleeve, but how do I erase the stain from my heart."

~~~~~~
"I love you Xiao. Remember that forever and always, my heart belongs to you."
You voice cracked when you had said that line. Everything seemed to slow down as you stared into the light amber eyes of the adeptus. It had been how long since you had deeply stared into his eyes like this.
Quickly turning your head, you returned to where Lumine was. The longer you were to stay with him, the harder it would be to leave him. It was better to just leave it as that before it would be even harder to separate from him.
"Y/n," Xiao cried out as he immediately stood up, his hand trying to hold onto you.
You eyes watered as you could feel your heart breaking into a million pieces from leaving him. Was this the feeling of leaving the one dearest to you?
"Lumine," Aether called out. "Where have you been?"
"Lets go Aether," Lumine walked up to her twin to hug him. "I'll explain everything to you later."
"I missed you sister," Aether gave his twin a tight hug.
Xiao's eyes turned dead as he realized the situation. You had mentioned a deal when the abyss herald had been ordered to stop. The deal most likely included you and simply seeing your face and how you were turning your back to him after lovingly looking at him, Xiao concluded that the deal included you leaving him.
"Are you leaving me y/n?" Xiao choked, his voice struggling to leave his throat. "Please y/n?"
The view of you walking away from him left Xiao shaking. His eyes got blurry the further you seemed to be from him.
You continued to walk away not wanting to look at Xiao.
"Y/n," Xiao ran forward and grabbed your hand forcing you to turn to him.
He placed his gloved hand on your cheek which was stained with tears that rolled down your face when you turned your back from him. He stared at you with loving eyes that made you fall deeper in love with him.
"Do you remember me?" Xiao asked, his hand not leaving your cheek.
"Yeah," you gulped down the tears that were begging for release. "I do."
"I love you y/n," Xiao smiled, the tears that he had held back falling from his eyes. "I missed you."
You closed your eyes and smiled at him. All you could do was give him a smile before you left. You didn't want him to see your teary eyes.
"Dont leave," Xiao whispered as he gripped your wrist tighter. "Please don't leave me again."
"Y/n," Lumine called out to you, a warm smile on her face. "Let's go."
"What are you talking about?" Aether asked as he stepped back making a distance between him and his sister. "Lumine what's going on."
"I'll explain everything to you later," Lumine repeated. "Lets go now."
"Are you the one forcing y/n to leave," Xiao growled before walking in front of you to block her view of you.
"We made a deal," Lumine sighed. "She'd leave with me and Aether if I saved your life."
"Was it you who sent all these abyss heralds and mages?" Aether made a wider distance between him and his twin. "Lumine tell me."
"Aether..." you called out as you caught a glimpse of his fear-striken eyes.
"It was," Lumine cried out, tears flowing from her eyes. "But I did it only to save y/n."
"What do you mean," Xiao interrogated, wanting to know what she had meant by that.
A silence covered everyone leaving only the wind to be heard. The same question that Xiao had asked swam through everyone's mind and now Lumine was the center of attention being the one who they wanted answers from.
"Princess," an abyss mage crackled. "What shall we do?"
"You're the princess they talk about?" Aether glared at his sister who fearfully looked back at Aether.
The abyss mages and heralds all looked at their boss and master hoping for instructions on what to do in the intense moment. Everyone's eyes were on Lumine who seemed to shrink from all the attention.
"What do you want with y/n," Xiao hugged you to his chest before pointing his spear towards Lumine.
"I did this to that y/n can continue living," Lumine cried while looking at you with foggy eyes. "This was the only way to keep you alive. The Abyss Order was created to collect enough energy for me to use to revive you. But even that wasn't enough. The only way to properly revive you would be to have you leave the world. By leaving to another world, you wouldn't be chained to Teyvat. Aether cared about you so much and so did I. I didn't want to leave without you so I tried to do everything in my power to revive you. The reason why that goddess stopped us when we tried to leave this world was because I took the last of your soul that was starting to disappear with me."
"You didn't need to do this for me Lumine," you walked up to her and gave her a hug as she started crying in your shoulders, all the pain that she was holding in starting to flow out. "It was my decision to give up my life."
"I don't want you to leave us," Lumine hugged you tighter. "You were like a big sister. You were the only one that Aether and I had other than each other."
"Lumine-" Aether walked towards the both of you and enveloped you both into his arms.
Lumine continued to cry for a while longer while hugging you even tighter like you would leave if she were to release you. All the while, Aether gave his silent comfort to his sister.
All her pent up anguish was now leaving as she let it all out from her sobs. You pat her head and let her lay her forehead on your shoulder to hide her now red eyes.
"What happens when the energy you collect from the Abyss Order is gone," Xiao interrupted the moment that you and Lumine were having.
Lumine immediately stopped crying and dug her head deeper into your shoulder refusing to let you go. Xiao gripped his spear, anger and jealously coursing through him as he watched the three of you interact. He knew he shouldn't interrupt but, he needed to know so many things.
How could you treat her so kindly after all did?
Even if she revived you, she had tried to seperate you from him and also had the nerve the kidnap you. Not only that, it was because of her that your heart was in turmoil.
What would happen the moment the Abyss Order were to stop doing the things that it was doing?
The energy that the Abyss Order had gained must have been from all the things that they had done. Without their cruel actions, what then would happen to you.
"You'll disappear," Lumine sniffles, slowly letting you go. "You'll disappear and be gone forever. The Abyss Order was the only thing keeping you here."
