Sophie's POV
My Halloween had been pretty uneventful. Dylan and Aurora, whom he'd guessed I had missed horribly (I had been right) had come, and he'd even brought me some of my favorite candy, Reese's. I absolutely adored Reese's. Then we had proceeded to watch some child-friendly Halloween movies, which if I'm being honest were my favorite kind - I didn't really like the scary kind too much.
I smiled fondly, recalling what Dylan had said after The Nightmare Before Christmas.
"Will you be the Sally to my Jack Skellington?" Dylan asked, holding my hand up and kissing it like they had done in the olden days. I rolled my eyes.
"Of course I will, you idiot. I love you, Dylan," I promised, using my free hand to grab his shirt and pull him closer for a real kiss.
We hadn't been able to watch Coraline, because that had been one of the first movies we'd tried to watch, and Aurora had still been awake, and she had seen the button eyes and just started wailing. Dylan had had to apologize to four separate nurses before they all admitted they were just pranking him and that most of them had taken shifts at the maternity ward before, so babies crying were nothing.
Dylan had also brought face paint, because apparently, Jack Skellington was like his favorite character ever, so after The Nightmare Before Christmas, which ended up being our last movie, as the only stuff Dylan had left were Monster High movies, which Aurora watched happily despite being only a baby and not understand anything, he had me paint his face.
And then he did mine, and even though neither of us were fully dressed up, he thought we looked amazing.
Evie texted me several times, but after the first one I decided to put my phone on silent and not respond to any of them.
8:14, Evie: im headed up 2 Ty's room dont text me
The next day, November 1st, I realized that Dylan was uncomfortably asleep on the chair for visitors, and felt slightly bad; but it wasn't my fault that the hospital made their beds so small, and it wasn't like we had planned on falling asleep to the tune of spooky Halloween music, which the nurses played for the patients. We had also received the good news that I would be released (although I was still confined to my wheelchair) on November 3rd.
Aurora was gone, but there was a note left by Edward and Doug saying that they had picked her up when they noticed Dylan hadn't come home yet, and not to worry.
I felt bad, but Dylan looked really peaceful as he slept, and he couldn't have had a very good night sleeping in that chair, so I decided to read Evie's drunk texts to amuse me.
8:39, Evie: i hate Ty im gonna get drunk
8:43, Evie: Marco wont give me fucking vodka
8:45, Evie: so turns out he had sex with Tanya when he cheated on me, not just that stupid blonde bitch
