"All right," Evie declared, happily parking us in the mall parking lot. We were all a little bit stunned at the way Evie handled traffic (let's just say Lina and I had been covering Kaia's and Luna's ears) and needless to say, we were relieved that we had finally arrived at the mall. Evie, who didn't seem bothered by the fact that Kaia and Luna were loudly complaining about having their ears covered the entire way to the mall, led us into what she said was the best Halloween store ever.
It was called Spooky Vibes, and the racks were lined with various Halloween costumes. They were organized on each rack by size, but the racks themselves were organized from least scary to terrifying, or in the back from least sexy to slutty.
I wondered if, perhaps, we had made a mistake bringing the five-year-olds here, but then the owner of the shop popped up.
"Evie!" squealed the young Muslim woman, her eyes brightly lit with joy. "I was hoping you'd come in this year! And with guests, too - oh, and young ones! Would you like to see my princess section?"
"Do you have fairies, too?" quizzed Luna, and the young Muslim woman, whose nametag read Miral, looked offended that Luna would even ask.
"But of course!" And with that, the five-year-olds were whisked away to a kid section that I hadn't seen before, and while I kept a vague eye on the two of them, we looked at costumes.
Lina, surprisingly, was the first one to find a costume: a two-piece fiery costumes that looked like it had been made for the devil herself. Evie, who had been tossing costumes every which way (I assumed there was some kind of method to the madness, but so far I couldn't tell) immediately rushed over when she saw Lina's smile.
"Oh. My. God. It's perfect. You have to try it on, I already know what makeup I'm going to do..." Evie ranted, shoving Lina and the costume into the dressing rooms. I frowned, suddenly realizing something.
"Evie, how exactly are we paying for all of this?"
Lina didn't hear me, already getting dressed. Georgia and Violet both turned to Evie quizzically.
"Dads gave me the okay," shrugged Evie. "I texted them on the way over."
"While we were driving?"
"It was at a stoplight!" protested Evie. "Anyway, they said it was cool." She paused. "Anyway, let's see Lina's costume!"

Lina's costume was hot. Literally. But Lina blushed, glancing down at her somewhat-exposed breasts, which were covered by the top part of her costume, but still exposed a little bit. "Are you sure it's not too...slutty?" she whispered, in case Kaia and Luna heard her. The pants were black, so black that they almost looked see-through...but weren't. I thought Lina looked awesome.
"Hon, you look amazing," squealed Evie. "Here, I found these gloves to go with it."
"I'm not sure," Lina said, sounding a little self-conscious.
