Millie POV

I was sitting in bed with Karl beside me, we were both enjoying each other's presence though, sometimes showing each other funny clips. I felt my heart start beating and I flicked my eyes to Karl really quickly, he was just looking at his phone, minding his own business. I sat up suddenly and got up, my hands were shaking as I unplugged my pulse oximetry. "Hey K?" I asked, my back to him.

"What's up?"

"Can you get Clay please?" My heart rate was only ninety-one right now but I knew what was coming. "Please."

He got up and opened the door, I listened to him hop down the stairs and knock on Clay's door. Clay came running up seconds later, I don't know why he always made it a big deal. I knew how to handle myself. "What are you at?" He asked as he collected pillows, scattering them on the ground.

I looked down. "A hundred." My chest was hurting by this point, the slow but unbearable thumps of my heart were very uncomfortable. Karl was staring at me from the doorway, looking like he wanted to help but knowing he probably shouldn't get in Clay's way. "I'm okay." I told him, reaching my hand out and squeezing his finger. This probably wasn't helpful because it was the hand with the heart rate monitor on it.

Clay made me sit down. "Remember to breath."

Thanks Clay, it's not like something is pounding against me harder and harder each time. I took a shaky breath and forced a smile for Karl who had sat down by my side.

This episode was bad, I didn't faint until my heart rate was at a hundred forty six.

"What happened?" Karl was asking nervously as I slid back into consciousness.

I opened my eyes and scooted myself toward my chair. Clay pushed it toward me and I sighed, putting my legs up on the seat. "I passed out." I looked over at my worried boyfriend. "I'm okay." Immediately after saying this I had to grab Clay's arm tight because I was hit with a wave of lightheaded-ness. "Shit." I said, wincing and running a hand over my forehead. "Can you get me Gatorade and water?" I asked to nobody in general, they both stood up and rushed out the door, agreeing on who would get what.

George came through the door with a sleepy look on his face. "Hey." He laid down next to me, grabbing my hand.

I smiled and laughed a little. "We're you asleep?"

"Yup."

"Sorry."

"Don't be." He leaned his head to the side to look at me and moved my head onto his shoulder, smoothing a hand over my hair.

I played with his fingers. "You're like a dad to me, you know?"

This seemed to make him really happy because he kissed the top of my head, beaming.

Karl and Clay came back in, Karl holding a water bottle and Clay with Gatorade. Karl sent a worried look at me and Clay glared at George. I smiled and took the drinks. "Thank you."

I didn't move from the position I was in for a couple minutes, until my heart rate was down to a hundred ten. When I did everyone held their hands out to steady me, I felt kind of weak but I didn't want to tell anyone. "Lay down." Clay pulled back my covers. "What's going on?"

"I'm lightheaded." I reached out for Karl. He sent me a unsure look and I patted the spot next to me. "I want a hug." I played off.

Karl gave me a hug and I wrapped my arms around his back, nuzzling my face in his neck. "Are you okay?" He asked, his words slightly muffled by my sweater.

I nodded. "I'm fine."

George was up and clinging to Clay by the time I unlatched from Karl, he hovered his face over mine for a beat too long and I saw Clay squint out of the corner of my eye. Karl pulled away and sat in my bed next to me.
