Seraphina was dressed in her maroon warrior attire with leather boots and belts. She knew the guards were string enough to hold her back but she would definitely fight with them to get to Demian. He was doing everything on his own and somehow she felt there was something that the little devil wasn't telling her. Call it, woman instinct! But if Demian had confined her in a room that meant, he was definitely planning something big.
And she would definitely find it by hook or crook.
She took the sword as it glinted in her hand and heard a footstep just outside of the door. Was it Demian?
She moved her eyes around the room and knew there wasn't any place to hide herself and if he saw her in this clothes, Demian would definitely add three-four more guards to watch her every moves.
The knock came, "Princess Seraphina?"
She cursed under her breath as it was the steward! He could be more frightening than Demian when stopping her to go outside of the palace.
She bit her lips and dashed toward the bed. Well, there was a thing that could save her for now. The old way of saving oneself. The bed!
She laid down on the bed, flat on her back and wrapped the blanket on her as another knock came. This time the voice was perplexed as she answered in a shaking voice, feigning to be asleep. "Yes?"
"Oh!" She heard Alonzo releasing a breath and asked, "I've came to give you some snacks, princess."
"Oh! Then-" Seraphina thought if she asked him to place the plate at the door which she had never done before, he would be dubious. "Come in!"
Alonzo entered and on his hand, there was a plate with a few fruits and her favourite snacks. She sat, careful not to slip the blanket from her body and smiled. "Oh! Alonzo, you know I love you."
Well, seeing the food did make her hungry. So, before going to her mission of escaping from her room, why not fill her belly? Besides, a little snack wouldn't hurt it.
"Why are you still asleep, Your Highness? Are you sick?" Alonzo placed it on the table and was about to come near her as she said, "No! Stay there!"
Alonzo raised a brow.
"Err... I mean, give me the plate here..." She let out a nervous chuckle.
Alonzo nodded, his moustache gave a suspicious twitch as Seraphina gulped, trying hard not make it odd.
"Err... Alonzo, where is Prince Demian?" She tried to divert the conversation.
Alonzo's face showed irritation as he grumbled, "Oh! The Prince! He Sometimes, get on my nerves!" as he placed the plate on her sheet, a clank sounded from beneath. It was the sword and she forgot put it under her pillows. She bit her tongue.
Alonzo snapped, "What was that?"
"What was what?" Seraphina asked him as Alonzo looked around and it seemed he didn't realise it.
"I-I am certain, I heard a metal noise."
Seraphina laughed, nervously as she said, "Oh! Pish posh! You are just delirious from Prince Demian!"
"Ah! You are right," Alonzo grumbled at the name of Prince Demian and Seraphina released a breath that she didn't know was holding.
She asked, taking this opportunity to divert his attention, "So, what was it now, your Highness has done?"
He said through gritted teeth, "Just some another boisterous plan!"
Seraphina nodded as Alonzo grumbled more, "I don't know what is wrong with this generation! They try to do everything on their own where they have others to do their work!"
