Reginald got a thorn in his hind leg as he growled and breathed fire at Horkof. He had been fighting him for all this time but that damn wizard didn't know when to quit. Both of them were injured heavily yet they still continued to fight.
On the other hand, Sakina and Xia fought with the rest of the wizards while Reginald's spikey tails and wings occasionally helped them to throw the wizards away from them. Sakina had a deep wound on her shoulder yet she fought without paying attention to her pain while Xia barely could walk but she still sent a series of arrows to help Sakina.
All three of them were heavily injured yet they had been waiting for Seraphina to come. They heard sound and as they looked behind they saw one side of the castle was blown off and blue flames coming out of it. They knew who it was and as the flames grew more they smiled as they didn't have to worry about the flame queen anymore.
The blue flames of Seraphina gave them courage and strength to fight more.
"Damn, I have never seen a fire like these," Xia said as she kept firing her arrows.
Sakina glanced behind and saw the fire had spread out to the corridors and soon it would reach the front side of the castle and she smirked, "Whoever she is fighting with, by now he might be roasted."
Reginald blew his noses letting them know, he scoffed at the enemy. Apparently, he had sensed her powers the moment she unleashed it and he knew Princess Seraphina wasn't the one who would accept defeat easily. But then he sensed a vast amount of power sipping out of where Princess Seraphina was. His ears stood straight and the pupils of his eyes decreased in size as he heard a growl. A dragon growl.
He moved his head toward it to focus on it. Whatever it was, it had so much power that a shiver ran down on his scales.
Seeing a changed behavior in Reginald, Xia asked, "What happened?"
Reginald could not talk in his dragon form as he ignored her and looked back at his enemy. He felt the aura was very familiar although it was deadlier than before but it had no evil intention. He assumed and blew his nose again.
"Hey, don't ignore me always!" Xia yelled at him as she thought Reginald might have scoffed at her too.
Horkof threw his spears at him as he evaded and clawed on the enemy but thorns appeared on his body and as soon as his skin touched it, he got stung. He yanked back his front limb and was about to breath fire at him but he paused. As if the enemy sensed something too, Horkof paused as well.
The castle shook with a force as the walls began to crumble, cracks appeared on the ground where they stood and the trees, towers of the flying castle began to fell.
Reginald, Sakina and Xia were finding it hard to balance themselves but they weren't the only ones, the wizards who surrounded them fell on the floor. They were as confused as Reginald and his companions were. The wizards looked at each other trying to understand the situation as Reginald closed his distance from the both girls. His instincts told him that something was off.
The castle stopped shaking and there was a pin drop silence and it felt like the quietness before the storm arose. The wizards were weary as well but they began to stand up and Sakina said to Reginald, "We need to find Seraphina and Prince Demian fast."
Reginald was in his dragon form, moved his large head as he concentrated on his senses but he frowned as a different kind of aura emitted from beneath their feet. Normal Dragonborns or wizards could not sense it but Reginald had high senses and immediately he spread out his wings. Without wasting any time, he left the castle ground grabbing both Sakina and Xia in his claws.
