Appa was very excited. He decided to throw a party to celebrate the partnership between Park Industries and Good For Life Enterprises.

The party was organised in the front garden of our mansion. It was big enough to have a minimum of 2000 people.

While everyone was busy with the preparations, I stood before the picture of my mother. She had a beautiful smile, although I didn't remember much. She was really beautiful and a well-mannered woman.

Her image in my memories was still blurry as she had passed away when I was four. Her smile, her laughter, her mischievous eyes, her way of caring for me and my brother, who was a newborn, the closed door, the rope to which she hanged herself, her last smile...

Suddenly my head started aching. These were all the things I remembered about her and honestly, I didn't even want to remember. Thinking about all of this, a lonely tear escaped from my eyes.

"Ayo Noona!" my brother shouted from downstairs," What are you doing? Aren't you the one responsible to choose today's menu?"

I wiped my tears, "I miss you Eomma!"

And I left the room.

****************

The party was in full swing. There were guests from Korea's biggest firms.

I stood at the entrance welcoming everyone. I was kinda uncomfortable in the little black dress I wore that night because I was just habitual of formal clothes. So, that dress was giving me continuous tension.

'Am I wearing safety shorts or not?' that thought suddenly struck my mind as my hand went to the end of the dress to pull it a bit down.

"Worried about your dress?" I heard a deep voice, deeper than the ocean. And I was sure who it was.

I lifted my head to see his handsome face.

He smiled at me, "Should I help?"

"Are you flirting with me, Mr Kim?" I raised my right eyebrow.

"No no don't take me wrong!" he chuckled.

"Enough joking, welcome to the party!" I exclaimed forwarded my hand.

"Oh, party party yeah!" he shook hands with me and took me to his family. I saw Appa standing there chatting with them.

After he saw me approaching, he spread his arm and pulled me.

"Meet her, she's my daughter and president of Park Industries, Park Y/N," he introduced me and I smiled.

"Y/N!" he turned to me, "Meet them. They are the Kims, one of the most respected families in South Korea!"

I bowed to them.

The retired president of Good For Life Enterprises was Mr Kim Won-Jae and now his son Kim Taehyung had taken his place. His mother was among the 12 chief judges in the Supreme Court of Korea but had retired. Guess that's why they are one of the most respected families in Korea.

His father was a funny man. He made jokes in each of the sentences he spoke. But Tae was a bit different. He seemed more serious, but he also cracked jokes sometimes.

"Ya Park Dae Won I heard you have a son also?" Mr Won-Jae asked Appa.

He nodded in a yes, and waved at my brother who was busy gulping liquor.
