Y/N

Carefully hiding the box of cake behind me, I knocked on the door and waited impatiently.

After a few seconds, the door opened, revealing the most precious face I'd ever laid my eyes upon. He was looking freaking tired, but still, he managed to give me his wide grin which made me feel so sick and millions of butterflies, no grasshoppers, started flying inside my stomach.

"Finally, you are here!" he smiled. I smiled back at him, assuring him that I would stay with him always.

"Yes!" I answered cheerfully and got inside.

"I have got a surprise for you!" he suddenly said, turning towards me. Surprise?

"Well, I've one too!" I quickly made space for the huge surprise I was going to give him.

"Really?" he asked, but soon his lips widened into the biggest smile and his eyes almost popped out.

"Happy Birthday Mr Kim Seokjin! Stay happy and healthy always!" I screamed, making him flinch a bit with my surprise and revealing the beautiful cake. He still stood there with a straight face. He couldn't believe actually what happened suddenly.

"Ho...w do y...ou...kn...ow?" his eyes almost became teary and his voice cracked.

"Taehyung told me! And by the way, happy birthday from him too! He was crying so much cause he misses you!" I placed the box on the nearest table.

His eyes became so heavy with tears forming inside them. He just couldn't process what was happening, "It's almost five years since I last celebrated my birthday!"

I felt so...bad. I mean he's such a precious bean, and he surely didn't deserve what all this damn fate gave him. But now he didn't have to worry, Park Y/N will be there, always!

I quickly made him sit on the bed and pulled the table on which the box was lying. I took out a birthday cap from my bag and made him wear that. Trust me, he looked the cutest 28-year-old man one can ever witness.

Although his eyes gave up a long ago, and tears were already making their way through his cheeks, he still had the brightest smile on his face. Because he was genuinely happy!

I opened the box and the next moment I saw his reaction, mesmerized! He truly liked the message on the cake, and he looked straight into my eyes. His teary yet precious eyes were making it so hard for me to gulp down my feelings for him, I wanted to hug him badly and ask him to face all our problems, together.

He cut the cake and widely grinned. I clapped and cheered for him and he was enjoying every moment so much. It was just like a birthday of a ten-year-old.

After everything was done, I cleaned the place and sat beside him.

"Why you didn't tell me that it's your birthday today?" I complained.

He smiled, " But you know anyway!"

"It's still your duty to tell me, okay?" I pouted.

He looked at me, and I was startled for a bit.

"Why it's my duty, Y/N?

I was out of an answer, "Be...be...because we're friends, right?"

He smiled again.

"Do you know why I asked you to come here?"

I made a confused face.
