24 : Anything for you!

"So you were a businesswoman before this?" the lady at the interview desk asked me, and that's when my left hand went to the back of my ear to scratch it a little out of nervousness.

"Y...es,"

The other staff sitting at the desk giggled as if I joked and then looked at each other in dismay.

"So you are telling me that you had a company, you were the president, you left it and now you are here to give an interview for a teaching job?" the lady, most probably the principal, asked.

"Actually, yes, I guess!" my tone was of course making it obvious that their questions were making me quite uncomfortable.

"Oh my god! What made you leave such a prestigious position and look for such a job?"

"It's my personal matter and I don't think that I've to give you any explanation. Can you please ask questions related to teaching?"

My answer made their mouths shut. Maybe they understood that I was triggered by their questions. After all, they were so curious to know about my personal life that they forgot to ask questions related to teaching.

"Tell us, why you want to be a teacher?"

"Because I love kids. They make me happy. And I'm too much responsible to just sit at home so why not choose a profession that needs loyalty at work?"

"Didn't you were loyal to your work back in your company?"

"I was. But I wasn't rewarded or appreciated for it!"

I knocked on the door of our beloved apartment. Every time I saw the nameplate, out of the world happiness struck me.

Jin was on-off that day. He was lucky cause his company gave him a paid leave for every Saturday. So on weekends, he used to cook tasty food for me.

I knocked on the door and waited outside impatiently. I was eager to give him the news.

I was about to knock again when he finally opened it.

"You are back?" he smiled. His smile still gave me millions of butterflies in my stomach. Although it had been one month since we were living there, still it felt like I ran with him yesterday.

I hugged him tightly and heard the door being closed. He caressed my hair and softly placed a kiss on my head, "How was the interview?"

I lifted my face and gave him the widest smile I could ever have, "They asked me to join from tomorrow!"

"Woohoo!" he lifted me and spun me like I was some bag of feathers.

"I'm so happy Y/Naah! Your dreams finally came true!"

"Yes, Jinnie! I'm so happy today! Both of us finally reached our destination! I love you Jin, a lot!"

"I love you too babe!"

He slowly landed me on the floor. I was too much excited because finally, I was going to pursue what I want. There was nothing that could stop me. I, my dreams and my Jinnie were together, finally.

I quickly grabbed my clothes from the closet and went to the shower. After I came back, I saw him sitting on the bed with folding his arms.

"What?" I asked him. He slowly get up and came to me. He wrapped me in a warm hug.
