I got home late from drinks with Stella, Brett, Kim, April, and Natalie I walked in and saw Jay on the couch I went to my room changed, I switched partner because of my feelings for Jay but it didn't work and it was only for a week since Jay was told to stay home by Voight, as soon my head hit the pillow I was out not knowing what would happen tomorrow morning, I woke and got ready for the day once I got ready me and Jay headed in to the district, a couple hours later we got report of a welfare check so me and Jay went we knocked on the the guy didn't answer we knocked again and I was shot in the abdomen
"Brealynn," Jay said
"Jay," I said
"Hey your going to be okay," Jay said
Then everything went black
POV Jay
I was pacing the waiting room
"Jay," Will said
"What," I said
"Whats going on," he asked
"I don't. I think I have feelings for Brea but she could die and she probably doesn't feel the same," I said
"Jay with way she looks at you," Will.said
"Jay," Kelly yelled
"Yeah," I said
"What happened," he asked
"She was shot," I said
"Weren't you guys wearing vest," Kelly said
"No it was a welfare check," I said
5 hours later Brealyn was out of surgery by this fire and the unit we're all waiting for Choi to come out and tell us
"She out of surgery," April said
"But only can be with her," Choi said
"I can't see my sister like that," Kelly said
"I'll go if Kelly doesn't mind," I said
"Sure," Kelly said
I followed Choi to her room and he gave me the update which didn't sound good
"Brea I'm sorry, I feel like this should be here laying unconscious not you, your my best friend, I can't lose you, especially after my dad and Kelly can't lose his little sister. But Brealynn I need you to.fimd the Marine Corps strength in you if not for me for the family," I said
I sat there just talking to her about stuff until she gripped my hand
"Braelynn," I said
"J-jay," she said
"Hey I'm here okay I'm going to go get will okay," I said
After Will checked everything he left
"Brealynn I thought I lost you," I said
"Jay I have to tell you something," she said
I leaned in and kissed her she moved in sync with me leaning into my kiss
"Jay," She said
"I love you Brealynn," I said
"I love you too," She said
"Be my girlfriend?" I asked
"Yes," She said kissing me again
"I love you beautiful," I said
"I love you too handsome," She said
