It's a Sunday morning when I get a call on my phone. I walk over to my bedside table and check my phone. Unknown number. Usually I would let it go to voicemail but I still haven't heard anything from the school yet so I answered it.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hello, is this Lucas O'Callaghan?" Lucas? Oh Lucas.
"Yes, yes that's me."
"It's just Trevor Manning from Bentley State school, just calling you to let you know you've got the job."
"Wait, really?"
"Yes really, your resume was flawless. You must have gone to a good school."
"Yeah, I did. So when do I start?"
"You start tomorrow so you better be ready." He laughs expecting me to laugh as well. After a couple seconds I start laughing too.
"Well I will see you tomorrow." I say.
"Yep see you then." The call ends.

I got a call from Trevor
Really? 😮 What did he say?
That I start tomorrow
Oh 😯
Can you and the guys meet up with me today?
Yeah sure. Where do you want to meet?
Same place as usual.
👍 see you there.
Yup 👍
I went downstairs to the kitchen to make some breakfast.
"Who wants pancakes?" I asked.
"Me!" Both Zoe and Makayla shouted in unison. I made the pancakes perfectly. That's definitely a first. I guess I was so happy I would find out what was happening there.
"So after this I'm going to head down to The Coffee Palace and meet with the boys. Do you girls wanna come?"
"And meet your friends? Finally, I was wondering if I would ever meet them."
"Didn't they meet you at the wedding."
"Oh that was them. I thought they were some distance relatives of yours." We both laugh. After we finished breakfast we got ready and went into town. Time to put our plan into action.
