I laid in my bed, exhausted and feeling a little sick to my stomach. I closed my eyes, the faint sound of my TV humming in my ear.  I laid there, thoughts rampaging through my mind.

My phone vibrated, but I ignored it. I didn't really feel like speaking with another human being at that moment. I pulled a blanket over my body and curled up, careful not to lay on my aching stomach. It was only 5:00 PM. A Thursday. I felt sick. Like actually sick. I was probably coming down with a virus.

That didn't stop me from going to school the next day, even though I felt like retching my guts out and my skin was hot to the touch. But I went to school anyway.

One thing motivated me: King's Island.

That's right. My school taunted us with a promise of if we got perfect attendance we would get to go to King's Island. Coming from a poor family, it would be good to actually go there. We usually couldn't afford tickets so...

Anyway, I went to school feeling horrible. I was so happy when the bell rung to let out Choir. I was the last one out, taking my time gathering my things. I happened to end up behind Jake and Daisy.

Great... I sighed, but kept my distance.

Ans then I heard that... bitch's comment.

"Oh look," she said in a sneering tone, referring to me. "The little lost puppy is following us again."

Excuse me?

What the fuck was that supposed to mean?

Jake just nodded and said nothing. My best friend said nothing when I was insulted by his girlfriend.

I just clenched my fists and let it pass. I walked out of the school and to the bus ramp to wait on my bus to get there. While waiting, I noticed Jake and Daisy hanging around the place was standing. I heard more of her sneering comments about how I just "couldn't let a relationship go" and stuff like that.

Okay, I admit, I had feelings toward Jake. I did like him, but I didn't show it. I suppressed those feelings, put on a smile and went on my way.

She had no right talking about me like that. I shuddered with anger.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Jason asked. I didn't even realized he had approached me.

"Nothing," I sighed. My bus pulled into the bus ramp. I entered it, got in my seat and laid my head against the window, closing my eyes and thinking. I had a lot of time on the bus to do that. I was the last person off of it because the bus driver lived near me.

I got off the bus and had to walk a fourth a mile to get home, still feeling sick. I entered my house, went to my room and fell asleep. By the time I woke up it was 11:00 PM. I looked at my phone. 1 new message. It was from Jason.

I opened it and nearly dropped my phone.

It read:

I love you.
