The Ghost's POV

Bang, I slam my hands down on my desk.

"That fucking bitch! After all the shot I've gone through for her, she can't even fucking do this one thing for me! Damn I need someone to murder right now!" I yell into the office.

I had just watched my sister's reaction to the video, and she wasn't even going to give me a chance. She won't even try to make them stop searching.

I feel the anger well up in me, but I refuse to let it out. As my eyes start to burn from unshed tears a notification pops up on my computer telling me that someone was using the laptop and watching the video.

I run to it in the hopes that she has changed her mind, but I see Mark staring at the screen instead. Intrigued, I sit down to watch his reaction as well.

Tears drip down his face the moment he sees my face appear on the screen. He pauses the video, and I stare at him curiously, "I miss you Galaxy. I know you had your reasons, but it's been so hard without you here."

I touch my hand to the screen morosely, "I miss you too Mark," and wipe a single tear from my eye.

"Rosie, as much as she blames you for what happened, just wants you back. She misses the one person who could understand her and wouldn't push too far. Please come back when you get the chance." Mark cries into the silent room.

When he's all cried out, Mark starts the video waiting to hear the message I left for them.

On the screen I take a deep breath, my confidence returning after starting the camera and I start talking. "Hey Rosie, happy half birthday. So I know you're pissed at me right now, but I need to explain a few things to you." Ashamed of myself I look down and let my cold mask cover my face once more.

"Look I know that in your eyes I've abandoned you again, but this is me trying to protect you. By rescuing you all from Jackson, I'm telling the world that you're special to me and who I really am. My leaving is to show that the Ghost is never to be messed with. Unfortunately, nothing will be enough, so as much as it pains me to say it, I may never see you again."

As I talk on the screen my eyes start glistening with unshed tears that I fight back to keep for later.

"Right now I'm building a second persona that will help me protect you. I want to make sure that people know you're surrounded by protection from all sides."

"Oh so that's why there's all these rumors about a new player taking on all these high profile assassinations. No wonder the world is on high alert; they think there's a second Ghost running around." Mark thinks out loud.

"Now on to you. I need you to do something for me. It will be one of the most important things I will ever ask of anyone." The recording hesitates to continue almost as if I wish to never ask this, but eventually the darkness I had been hiding since the beginning of the video shows its head for just a moment. "Live your life. Live enough for the both of us. Forget about me though. I will always be there in the shadows, a ghost keeping watch, but you can't live if you've got me in the back of your mind."

Mark starts yelling at the screen in anger, "You fucking idiot! She can't fuckijg forget about the one person in the world who would sacrifice everything just to see a smile on her face. There will always be something missing till the day you come back."

The video of me takes another moment to compose itself again before it continues, "I know the girls have been trying to find me, and that none of you have read my letters, so I'll just tell you. If you seek me out, I will run. And I will keep running till the day you all give up. I don't care what they say about how broken I am or how much I need to be protected from myself.
