Tyler's POV

Sh...she...she j...ju...just...just murdered someone. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Damn this girl is brave.

Still in shock I don't recognize what I'm doing and follow her instructions robotically.

I swear I was in a trance for 4 hours before I snapped out of it, but when I do we are still in the car on our way to her office.

I study her for a moment. Not sure what I'm looking for, but I notice the distinct lack of awe or even remorse maring her features. She's done this before, I decide. She really is Rogue like he said, but what was that about the Ghost?

Eventually she grows tired of my staring, "Well go on then, ask what you want to ask. I don't promise answers, but ask away." Her expression never changes, but I can tell she just wants this over with as soon as possible.

I take a minute to think of my first questions, then start my interrogation of her, "He said your name was Rogue, is that true?" I ask first, wanting confirmation before I start going down the rabbit hole of questions.

"Some call me that, yes."  She replies cryptically.

"What else do they call you?" I ask, intrigued by her reply.

She wistfully mutters, "other names, other personalities none more powerful than the other."

I am so confused by her reply but I continue with my questions while she is in a giving mood. I can ponder over her replies later. "You said you went to a school that taught you how to kill, was this the same one that trained The Ghost until she destroyed it."

The surprise is quickly masked from her face, but I notice it. She's hiding something about the school, now I just hope I ask the right questions while I still have time. "Yes, The Ghost did train at the school."

"If you know The Ghost, then why did him bringing her up and calling you second best piss you off?"

Taking a moment before answering, it almost seems as if she is stringing a lie together. "She and I are evenly matched in every way, but she got the fame, the glory, and the respect of everyone else. I hated it, so when she went dark last year, I started truly making a name for myself."

Her mention of last year piqued my interest, "What happened last year?"

She grins slightly, "She learned that she should never trust anyone, not even friends." As she talks a glint of remorse shines in her eyes and I wonder who betrayed Rogue or if she was the one who betrayed Ghost.

I analyze her for a moment before deciding to stop asking her questions. She appears to be in her head too much to answer now anyways.

We sit in silence for a few moments, both stuck in our own heads.

"So why do you hate the Ghost so much?" Her voice makes me jump slightly.

Taking deep breaths, I try to stay as emotionless as possible. "She killed my father."

"Well then he deserved it. She doesn't kill just anyone." Rogue soeaks matter of factly.

Groaning I run my hands over my face, "It wasn't his fault though. He had been blackmailed into killing 20 women so that my mother would be set free. Unfortunately, they put a hit out on my father and The Ghost was the one who took the job."

Rogue stares at me, "sounds like it's his fault anyways. Killing should not be done for someone else's life."

I stare at Rogue in shock before scoffing, "Says the girl who kills people for a living."

"Whatever," she waves me off.
But I refuse to be pushed aside, "If she had just done just a little bit of research she would have known that my mother was missing and being used against him. After his death, I found out my mother was never in any danger and that she had planned it all so that the Ghost wouldn't have any qualms killing him. Not that she would have." I mutter the last part angrily.

Rogue watches me for a few seconds before asking, "When did this happen?"

"About five years ago." I reply coldly, finally gaining control of my emotions.

Rogue's eyebrow raises, but a look of recognition passes through her eyes. "Well that was the year they broke muh...her."

I look at Rogue confused, did she almost say me? What is she hiding? "I don't care how badly they broke her, I just want her dead. Although I'll never have the skills to do it. I just hope that Le Renard dude takes care of her. He's been chasing her since I started following her exploits."

Rogue shuts down after this, so we just sit in silence, both lost in the information we learned about the other today.

Somewhat random question, how did you find my book?

What do you think is happening between Tyler and G or Rogue as she's going by right now?

Did you catch Le Renard? He made an appearance!

What do you think is going to happen next?

PS I've got an idea for the chapter going already so I might post again today or early tomorrow, but the chapter will be short sooo...

See you in the next chapter!
