Jace's POV

"I don't know. What do we have for lunch Marky?" I whine hungry.

He just rolls his eyes, "Well I can make you mac and cheese or a pizza which would you prefer?"

Thinking for a moment, I excitedly yell "Ice cream!"

"No bud, I need a bit of food in there before I'll give you any sugar." He chuckles pointing towards my stomach. Huffing sadly, I turn around pouting, but then he whispers in my ear, "we have a meatzza."

Immediately I perk up and start dancing around the kitchen chanting, "Meatzza! Meatzza! Meatzza!"

Mark just laughs at my antics, while pulling a meat pizza from the freezer to toss in the oven. As he finishes up John walks in and stares at his butt, so I yell at him "That's gross!"

Looking up confused, Mark's eyes brighten when he sees his boyfriend and he moves to give him a kiss. I groan, closing my eyes, "Minor in the room!"

Whispering loudly, John asks seriously, "What do you think? Should we really scar him?"

With a twinkle in his eyes Mark agrees, and they start kissing even more. I scream at the view running from the room. "My eyes! My eyes! My poor innocent eyes!"

I can hear their laughter, but I refuse to go anywhere near the kitchen until the meatzza is done and I know they'll be eating it and not each other's faces. Bleh.

As I wait an uneasy feeling settles in my stomach, but I ignore it thinking it's just my hunger.

Eventually they called me back after 20 minutes of me playing on Mark's phone. He didn't even notice I had it, so I put it back on the counter where I stole it from.

We spend lunch talking and joking together, but this sense of uneasiness keeps growing. I think they can feel it too, but are ignoring it for my sake.

"Let's go watch How to train your dragon!" I yell out the moment I finish eating my food.

They groan, but I don't care and run out of the room giggling. Triumphantly I reach the theater first and start doing a dance making fun of the old people. Growling in mock annoyance, Mark jumps on me, tackling me to the ground, and tickling me till I'm crying.

As he finally lets me up, John gets a text message and the mood around him darkens immediately. Somethings wrong and that uneasy feeling that's been in the pit of my stomach all morning is becoming worse and worse.

The men give me a sideways glance and start talking in Italian, but Rosie and her friends have been teaching me every language they know so I can never be left out.

"Cosa c'è che non va, tesoro? (What's wrong babe?)" Mark asks worriedly.

Running a hand through his hair, John replies shakily, "Qualcuno ha iniziato un lockdown in un mio magazzino, e se è chi penso che sia allora sono fottuto. (Someone started a lockdown in a warehouse of mine, and if it's who I think it is then I'm screwed.)"

"Che cosa hai fatto? (What did you do?)" Mark asks him accusingly.

"Un prigioniero molto importante potrebbe essere fuggito poco prima che tua sorella se ne andasse e non gliel'ho detto, in modo da poterlo aggiustare, ma non l'ho ancora preso. (A very important prisoner might have escaped right before your sister left and I didn't tell her, so that I could fix it, but I still haven't caught him yet.)" John sheepishly replies.

I get annoyed with both of them, interrupting, "Well she just found out you idiot! Something's very wrong with her right now, we need to get to her before anything happens. Where is she?"
