Anguish

What's the first thing you'd expect me to be doing? Training? School? Putting up with Kacchan? Dealing with Kacchan again? Eating Katsudon? Good guesses, but not at the moment. No, I'm not swinging on my webs either. Actually, I'm updating my Hero Analysis for the Future No. 13 by including the villains I faced so far, seeing as I have nothing better to do for now.

First up is the sludge villain, the one villain I wouldn't be able to face without showing any sort of discomfort. The most important detail about him: he snapped my father's neck. With a green, living slime-like substance for a body, the only solid parts of him are his eyes, which I was able to exploit. As if... as if Dad wasn't enough, he had to snatch Kacchan, causing a lot of commotion in a shopping district. I was able to put up a fight with him, evading his tendrils, but he proved too fast. That, or I had just gotten my other "Quirk," meaning I hadn't honed it totally. Luckily, All Might arrived in the nick of time right after I saved Kacchan, with the battle ending in his favor. He was Dad's best friend, so it must've been personal for him, without a doubt.

Next is my first real villain I had to face by myself, Chameleon. The only fancy things about him are his Russian accent and his white mask with nothing but eyeholes and a mouth. The name fits well, seeing as how good of an escape artist he is, and was even able to frame me on my first week as Spider-Man. He did mention his Quirk allowed him to change his skin texture, from smooth as a baby's to wrinkled like an elderly person. Other than that, no other special abilities; the only trouble he gave me aside from the framing was a car chase, which ended fast. It was thrilling.

Moving up the list is Adrian Toomes, AKA the Vulture, with whom I fought days ago. The first time I saw him was on the day I met the Osborns: Harry Osborn, son of the other one, Norman Osborn, the CEO of Oscorp. The latter was taken hostage by the old man. Yes, he's an old man, with seemingly no Quirk. All he has is a black a nd red bird suit that lets him fly... and increase his strength. We had two battles, the second one during which another group interrupted.

Speaking of that group, it's time to introduce the Enforcers. One chopper, one strongman, and a nimble martial artist. The strongman was... well, strong; he was the first one ever to break my webs with simple brute strength, which is probably his Quirk. The last guy was nearly as fast as me, and was even able to deflect my webs. He's fast on his feet, but not so good in the air. A Quirk drawback? If so, it must be an embarrassing one. Nothing much on the chopper, though, other than him being the leader.

None of them have had a bigger impact on me than the sludge villain. I stared, and I kept staring at the catalogue I made. And with every minute that passed, the turmoil grew larger, like raging waves in the sea. The gloom, comparable to walking deeper into a cave. The anger, just like a wildfire in a forest, with no sense of control.

Him, however... Not one ounce of remorse. I want him to feel something else.

It went to the point where I felt like wanting to kill him.

And I had these thoughts for days, and many more days.

I see it in Mom's eyes half the time: the sadness that she tries so hard to lock away every single day, her state of gloominess, the anguish. The other half of her time compensates for it with Aunt Mitsuki's visits, which have become more frequent.

We just haven't learned to come to terms with the fact that we won't see Dad alive ever again.

Staying in my dark room was how I began to spend the last few days while not doing anything important. During my training sessions with All Might, however, I talked less... and just trained. I could feel his eyes on me every once in a while, likely an effort to sympathize with me. Day in, day out, and school didn't change whatsoever: classes weren't very interesting, Kacchan's lackeys (again), me being a loner in the cafeteria, and then a lone wolf once again on my way home; I didn't even bother web-slinging.
