So yes, I will buy you roses Wilhemina.
Not because you buy me roses too.
But because you care more than enough and trust me so much that you think I am capable of holding flowers alive.
You see my potential
You see through my walls
Through my pain
Through my many insecurities and worries
And you see a seed of a flower,
a seed to let bloom.
So every week you buy me flowers,
Roses to be exact,
To let me see what you can see:
The potential of holding something so tenderly and beautiful alive.
The potential of caring enough.
The potential of giving love.
I don't have to say "buy me roses, Mina".
You would do it either way to show me how much you love me.
And so I go on and buy you roses too,
to show you what I receive and to give it back.
To be able to express how much you can love too.
And not everyone would understand our ways of saying "I love you and I care"
But that is okay,
They don't have to get our love,
They don't love me like you do, Mina
They don't have to buy me roses.
