As soon as noon arrived, you and the Tokyo students had spread out throughout the broad woods. Suddenly, you heard an announcement over your head.
"We're starting in one minute. Now, let's hear a few words of encouragement from Utahime Iori," Gojo tittered.
"U-Uh, um, some degree of injury will be unavoidable. But, um, now and then, help each other out or something..." Utahime replied, stuttering.
You smiled,
"She mustn't have planned this out."
"Time's up," Gojo chuckled, to which Utahime abruptly responded,
"Hey! Gojo, you little..."
Ignoring Utahime's angry grumbles, Gojo finally announced what you had all been tirelessly waiting for.
"Now, let the sister school exchange event begin!"
Hearing Utahime and Gojo bicker from the speakers, you followed the others through the lush green forest. The afternoon dappled sun scattered from the crown of branches above, specks of dust floating midair. The weather was breezy, leaving behind the summer heat.
"Where do you think the cursed spirit boss is?" Itadori asked, running next to Maki and Panda.
"It was probably released halfway between both schools," Panda replied,
"But it's not going to sit still."
Maki followed after with her explanation,
"Like what we agreed upon, we'll split up into the Fushiguro squad and the Panda squad for scouting. We'll be counting on you after that, Itadori."
"Alright!" Itadori agreed with enthusiasm, playfully saluting.
You watched as Fushiguro's divine black dog cross your line of sight. Suddenly, a spider-looking creature hanging from a tree was in front of you all. Right as Panda and Maki got ready to beat it up, Fushiguro yelled,
"Watch out!"
A storm of dust and branches immediately stormed past the spider, leaving dust in your eyes. Opening them, you saw Toudou manically exclaiming,
"Great! You're all here! Come at me altogether!"
You watched as Itadori quickly came up to Toudou, slamming his knees into Toudou's jaw. Split up!
Leaving behind Itadori with Toudou, you followed Fushiguro and Maki. You'd lost sight of Inumaki, Kugisaki and Panda.
"Toudou was alone," Fushiguro pointed out.
"We were right to swap Itadori," Maki sighed.
