Chapter Thirty

The world was divided into three groups, that was how I saw it.

The good ones, the bad ones and the oblivious ones.

The good ones are us, like me and Harry. The bad ones as the headmasters and the ones who work for them, who were chosen by them to be exact.

Then the oblivious ones are those who don't know what the hell was going on in this world and they are too controlled over to ask.

I can't see where the unity is in these three groups, as what the headmasters said. I don't really care much about what they think, I only care about freeing these slaves and freeing us again without having such headmasters.

The first slaves I want to free are my family, I needed to find them as soon as possible. I just hope they aren't dead already.

We've reached a not so sharp ground and I sighed out of relief. My legs were burning, especially my left leg, the injured one.

My head was pounding from the strong sun above us and my skin was screaming 'please enough sun for today.'

I looked over at Harry who was walking beside me, he had pulled his hair back using a bandanna. His nose and cheeks were slightly burnt as well as arms. He was barely breathing,  but not to the level of death.

I suggested, for the millionth time, between heavy breathes "Harry, let's take a break, I'm really tired."

He looked at me and nodded once, unable to form words because of how tired he was. We walked over to a huge tree and leaned on it, taking in oxygen to fill up our lungs.

After a moment, Harry said, his voice rough "you know, when we get there, you might get a surprise. I'm not sure though. Just maybe."

I raised an eyebrow at him as I asked "what is it?"

He chuckled and sank to the ground as he rested his back against the tree in the shade "impatient as always. When we get there, you'll see."

I just huffed in annoyance. I didn't feel like arguing because I wanted to keep the energy to scream for water and rest when we get there.

I might not even recognize that we made it to camp because of the lack of water..that's on Harold.

"I hate surprises." I muttered with a scowl.

He replied with a sided smile, more like a smirk "of course you do."

I sat down in the shade across from him. I could hear my heart pumping rapidly in my chest and the blood running through my ears.

I pulled out my water bottle and drank what was left inside. We should've brought more water bottles, now we were dying out of dehydration.

I looked up at the sky; the sun was right above us, so it was noon, and that meant lunch.

I haven't realized we've been here in the woods for that long.

I looked back at Harry, I knew we've got no more food in these useless backpacks, but I asked anyway "do we have any food left?"

He was picking at the grass on the ground like a five year old while looking straight at me with his two beautiful green planets, he replied "I thought you were smart. We ate everything just yesterday Pam."

I sighed "I know, dummy, I just thought you brought some extras."

I shrugged, not knowing what else to say.

He answered after a minute "well, you were right, I might have saved a bag or two of marshmallows..." He trailed off as my eyes widened with joy.

He pulled the bags which were filled with marshmallows from his backpack and tossed one in my direction with a smile.
