It's been two days since it all began. I stayed in my place; sitting on the concrete with my legs hugged tightly to my body and my chin resting on my knees.

It's been two days since I last ate anything. Two days since the beginning of this mess.

Two days since I last saw him.

What if he's dead already? No it can't be. Positive thoughts only, Pam.

I sighed placing my forehead against my knees and closing my eyes for a second.

You just need to clear your mind, Pam.

The battle up there seemed so intense from the loud noises, bombs, and screams I was hearing. The Earth was shaking beneath my feet where I sat on the ground.

We had to resort to women fighting too, there were so many of them that they almost killed everyone.

Hopefully not Harry. He can't be dead or injured or else they would've brought him back in here. Unless he's just bits and pieces of human flesh.

No. None of that Pam.

The views of injured and dead people that were brought back terrified me. Some were injured, some had their limbs cut off. Twisted and deformed humans arrived rapidly. I just prayed from the bottom of my heart that this massacre would stop soon and my friends would be saved from this dehumanisation.

I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink anything in the last few days. I was too anxious to do anything other than sitting around and waiting for all of this to be over.

I felt a hand touching my shoulder and the presence of someone beside me. I looked up to see a blonde girl with blue eyes not older than me, probably my age or younger too. She was holding a water bottle as she said "Voulez-vous boire de l'eau?"

I looked at her dumbfounded as I shook my head with furrowed eyebrows "I didn't understand what you said, but if you want me to take this water bottle then I don't want it. But thanks anyway."

I paused, thinking of something french to reply with "uh.. merci beaucoup, mais non."

The girl just had an annoyed look on her face before she stood up and left.

Maybe she still doesn't know English. I shrugged at the thought.

The Earth kept shaking from what's happening up there, pulling me away from my thoughts, but a few minutes later, I was thrown to the side from the impact of a very hard shake and hit my head on the ground. Hoisting myself back up with a grunt using my hands, my ears rung so much I thought they were bleeding from the huge explosion that left everyone so curious about what that was; if the place was under attack or something else.

After that, everyone went silent, or maybe I just went deaf. Not even the sound of a scream or a trigger being pulled was heard.

It didn't last long before everyone was screaming and crying for their...lives? I didn't understand.. what did just happen??

I raised myself up completely off the ground and looked around some more. There were people just like me, confused as hell and didn't know what's going on. Then there were those who were screaming bloody murder while clutching their heads like they wanted to rip it right off their necks.

Then it hit me like a block in the face.

Some of those people came from other places around the world and they might not have removed the device from their heads!

The device was doing something to them, or maybe they were just coping with whatever happened to their devices and there were no radioactive signals anymore.
