Chapter Forty Nine

Pamukkale Fox

I groaned in pain as I felt my whole body shivering. I wasn't cold but my nerves were on edge from all the pain I felt.

I heard my name being called in the distance over the loud ringing in my ears. My body felt like being stabbed over and over again.

I groaned again as I reluctantly opened my eyes, ignoring the pounding in my head.

Once my eyes adjusted, I looked around from my place and realized I was laying on something hard, not being able to move, as I took in my surroundings.

My name being called became clearer as I heard someone saying it beside me, seeming too close to my ear since I could hear him screaming. Or, maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me "Pamukkale, can you hear me?"

The sound has a concerned tone to it. I then felt the bright white light invading my eyes as someone held my eyes open.

I squinted instinctively before raising my hand and trying to swat the light away from my over sensitive eyes.

"She's awake!"

My blurry eyes adjusting more to my surroundings before they met the familiar blue eyes that belonged to the one and only Niall.

"What happened?" I asked. My voice barely above a whisper.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and the other holding my arm as he pulled me into a sitting position.

I grunted in pain that shot in my ribs and abdomen, not really caring once I felt the tip of a bottle of fresh cold water touching my lips.

I accepted it and drank the whole thing. I didn't know I was that thirsty.

I looked back at Niall, his face filled with concern as he asked, avoiding my previous question "you don't remember?"

I furrowed my eyebrows for a moment, trying to remember how I even got to this unfamiliar place, but yet so beautiful.

I answered, my voice more audible this time "I remember everything Niall, except for the part of how the hell I got to this place. I remember you and Alex saving-"

I widened my eyes as I remembered the whole thing "oh my God, Harry! Is Harry okay?!"

Niall answered with a nod "he's fine. He's being taken care of right over there. He's still alive, don't worry."

I let out a sigh of relief before I looked around. The place didn't look like Earth. It didn't look like what heaven or hell were described. It looked like some other planet with pink clouds, blue trees and purple grass right under me. It was so mesmerising I couldn't tear my eyes away from the scenery.

I couldn't help but ask "where are we? Are we dead?"

Niall scoffed "nah, we're inside the portal. The human body heals way much faster than on normal Earth ground. But we can't stay her for more than two hours or we'll get stuck."

I raised an eyebrow "how long have we been here?"

He replied while looking at his hand watch "about half an hour. We still got time, but not much. Time is relative here and it's faster than normal. Plus we gotta leave to the bunkers before they could find us. They were following."

That explains why I haven't felt as pained as I was when I woke up.

I nodded my head in understandment.

This seems absolutely phenomenal.

Like the land where fairies would exist.

"Niall, I need to see Harry. I need to know for sure that he's okay." I deadpanned. Looking straight into his big blue eyes.
