"and what exactly is australian roulette?" ashton questioned, struggling to keep curiosity out of his voice.

"it's like russian roulette, but australian." michael explained slowly, like they should already understand. and in his mind, he really did think they should have already know what it was.

"yeah, i got that dumbass. i mean, what makes it australian."

"and why do you want to play it?" luke piped up, glancing away from his phone to look at michael with raised eyebrows.

"i agree with luke," marie said. "why should we play a game that will end in pain and injuries?"

"that's the australian twist. we won't get injured. and we're in australia." michael said.

"i don't get it. if we don't get hurt, then what does happen?" ella asked. several others around the small space in michael's basement nodded along with what ella had said.

michael went up to his parent's room and came back down with a box. he smirked and looked around at the group. calum, ella, luke, ashton, marie, sara, alex, lisa and sapphire. he emptied the contents in front of him on the floor. a collective gasp went around the soundproof room.

"because guns don't just hurt you, they kill you."

"we're seriously just going to kill ourselves for some fun?" sara shouted.

michael just smiled at her.

"yes we are."
