This chapter is longer than I normally do. But enjoy and don't forget to comment. Y'all be on that hush hush.
Natasha's POV
"Hi. Sorry I'm late." I walked in the office and sat in the chair.
"No problem at all. Next time please call me and give me a heads up in case I have to delay my next session."
I nodded.
"So, how is it going?" She asked.
"It's going. I'm taking everything day by day. That's all I can do."
"Good. How are you sleeping?"
"Pretty much the same. I have my good nights and my bad nights." I said placing my tote in the empty chair next to me.
"I see. So the last time you were here we were discussing coping skills and things you can do to take your mind off of the stress and anxiety of becoming a new mother. Did you get a chance to do some of the activities?"
"Not really." I shook my head.
She sighed and looked at me confused.
"Natasha, why are you here?" She asked.
"Is that a trick question?"
"No it is not."
I took a deep breath before responding.
"Because I need help."
"I see, you need help. But do you want help?"
I thought before answering her.
"I guess so."
"Here's the thing. I don't want to waste your time and I certainly don't want to waste my time. This is our 4th session and so far you are not making any progress."
She took out her notepad and adjusted her glasses before reading the paper out loud.
" Let's see. We've discussed your childhood and the traumatic experience you had with a local boy. We also discussed the loss of your grandmother. Natasha I really don't know much about you. I've been very patient because I wanted you to be comfortable but this is your 4th time in my office and we haven't gotten anywhere. If you want me to help you, you have to start talking."
I took a deep breath, then released it slowly. Can I trust her? They say that the information is confidential but how confidential? I need to be careful with this. But what do I have to loose?
"What do you want to know?"
"What brought you here? What made you reach your breaking point and decide to get therapy?" She asked.
"Before I start talking. No pen and paper. And the lady out front has to go."
"What?" She looked confused. "If you want a private office session that will cost y-"
"That's not a problem."
She nodded and then left the room to clear her office out. A few minutes later she came back in and sat down.
"OK. My office is cleared and locked. My private sessions run a hour minimum and if you need m-"
"A hour is all we'll need." I responded quickly.
"Ok. Now tell me why you're here."
"I feel like I'm going crazy. The past few months for me have been hell. Somebody who I thought was my sister betrayed me in the worst way, leaving me for dead. A lot of things with her are now starting to add up. And this, this thing in my stomach." I paused becoming emotional.
