August POV
I pulled up at the crib after dropping Cash off, exhausted and ready ta' hit tha' sheets. I got out my car and walked towards my door, searching my keyring fa' my house key.
"Mr. Alsina, haven't seen you in a while. How are you?"
"What the fuck you doing at my house this late?" I asked.
"I was just in the neighborhood and I thought I'd stop by." He said.
"Nigga it's two inna' morning. So unless you gotta warrant or somebody broke in my shìt, I'an got nothing else ta' say right na'."
I stood face ta' face with Detective Wilson. Wilson was a grimey nigga, a sellout. The nigga always had it out fa' me. He was known as tha' gangsta turned cop and nobody in tha' streets respected him.
"What happened to Southern Hospitality? After all, you are from Nawlins' right? Murder capital of the world?" He used his fingers to do quotations.
Any other time, without looking, my key is easy ta' find. But for some reason ta'night, I couldn't catch a break.
"Speaking of murder. Le Nay. She was a beautiful beautiful girl. Beautiful. It's a shame what somebody did to her. Shot her and left her laying in a puddle of her own blood. You don't happen to know anything about that would you?"
"I'on know watchu' talking about." I stared him directly in the eyes.
He don't have shit on me. Granite, I been ta' ha' crib and fucked a couple times; but so did a bunch of other niggas.
"Funny, I thought you'd say that. Care to explain why we have your fingerprints in her home?" He smirked.
"I fucked. I got some brain too. She was a freak ya' heard me? Na' if you ain't gotta warrant I suggest you bounce."
"I'll bounce Mr. Alsina, or should I say Yung. But I'll be back "ya' heard me"?" He mocked me.
"Yeah Aite." I turned around and stuck my key inna' door.
Outta all the nigga's fingerprints he ran, he came fa' me. My main reason fa' getting off the block, selling rocks was because of him. He locked me and Cash up so many times that I've lost count. The charges never stuck though cause it was always on some bullshit.
I knew that he knew I had something ta' do wid' that Asian bitch's death. And I also knew that he would be watching me so I have ta' be careful wid' how I move from now on.
I pulled out my phone and decided ta' try my luck. I had a long day and I just needed somebody ta' talk to.
"You've reached Natasha. Leave a message at the beep."
Beeeeeep.
"Wussup Natasha's, it's Yung. I was just thinking about cha' and I wanted ta' talk ta' you. Call me when you get up though."
"To send your message press pound or hang up now. To erase your message, press star."
I pressed star and hung up the phone.
