MiChaeng with a Happy Ending

6: First Moment

Chaeyoung's POV

All of 9 of us are getting ready to move in our dorm. We're gonna live together JYP-nim said. We have some busy schedules cause we will debut in October.

I'm really sad right now. I mean, I'm happy that I got to debut as an idol but I feel sad for Somi. We even wished together for us to make it but I guess that wish isn't enough. Maybe god has a better plan for her. I can't see her right now cause I know that she needs some space.

"Ugh! I hope that idiot is okay." Chaeyoung shouted while unloading her things in the dorm.

"Chaeng? Are you okay?" Mina asked.

Mina's been calling me Chae/Chaeng after we became a girl group and I think it's cute.

"Ahhh!! Chaeyoung you idiot! How could you forget that Mina is with you?! Chaeng pabo!!" Chaeyoung thought to herself.

"Nothing Mina-unnie, I'm just worried about Somi." I blushed cause it's embrassing!

"No, it's okay Chaeng, she's your friend after all. I hope she's okay too." Mina added .

"Thank you Mina-unnie."

Silence covered the room. They're awkward with each other and they didn't know why.

Mina then talked to Chaeyoung.

"Also Chaeng, you can call me Minari if you want. We're almost the same age so I think it's okay for you to call me that." Mina showed her gummy smile.

Chaeyoung then find it cute. She then awkwardly responded. "Okay Minari, hehehe."

For them not be awkward, Mina talks to Chaeng and Chaeng tries to talk to Mina too.

"Ah, Chaeng, can you pass me the tumbler please?" Mina pleaded.

Of course, Chaeyoung then got the tumbler and handing it to Mina but the tumbler slipped into Mina's hand causing it to fall.

They both looked down with the intention to get the tumbler but Mina's hand was the first to land on the tumbler and Chaeyoung's hand landed on Mina's hand.

They both looked at each other with a blush on their face then suddenly, the other girls came in to the room with Jeongyeon crying.

Both of them immediately acted as if nothing had happened.

"Did Mina just blushed?! Oh my god! She's so cute." Chaeyoung said in her thought.

"Yah! Chaeyoung!! What are you thinking?!" Chaeyoung's thought was a mess but then, when she saw Jeongyeon crying, she immediately returned to reality.

"Why is Jeongyeon-unnie crying? What happened?" Mina asked with a worried look in her eyes.

"Jeongyeon's grandmother passed away a while ago..." Nayeon shortly respnded.

Tears fall down in Chaeyoung's cheeks as she heard the shocking news.

"W-what do you mean Nayeon-unnie...? It's n-not true, right...?" Chaeyoung asked crying.

"Yes, it's true... Chae, Halmeoni passed away. She was really looking forward for me to debut but she didn't make it. She was always there for me, loving me, cherishing me. I was hoping that she can make it until I debut but she said she was tired." Jeongyeon said in pain.

All of the girls cried in pain as they can feel what Jeongyeon had been through.

They all let their tears fall to ease their pain cause they know that there's tomorrow waiting for them.
