∾𝒮itting at his table with bunches of wildflowers in jars before him, Hongjoong picked up a new combination and arranged them in a way that he thought looked nice. Wrapping twine around their stems, he had almost finished tying a dainty little knot around them when suddenly, there was a knock at his door - a door no one ever knocked on.
His little shack was on the edge of their village, with his front patio backing onto the forest from which he picked his flowers. The next family dwelling was still within sight, but certainly not built on top of his own, nor close enough for them to come knocking at this time.
It was so late at night, he thought Mingi would have been in bed fast asleep, and Yeosang nine lines deep in whichever vapour den he had decided to attend that night. And so coming to the assumption that a deer must have been knocking against his door wanting food, he sighed.
Getting up, he took the bag of grain from his little pantry and made his way over to the door...

Eyes wide, his heart froze for a long moment, staring at the Strigoi in utter surprise. He'd never seen a vampire on Elvish land...
Vampire...
Elves...

He hurried around to his windows, dragging his hand-woven curtains across to block out the outside world, making sure that no one could see inside, and although they were alone, he still felt incredibly anxious.
Breathing heavily with his heart thumping in his chest, he took a few deep breaths in an attempt to calm himself down. However when he turned to see the vampire just standing casually, leaning against his door with his bag of grain, watching him panic, he flashed his blue eyes at him, glaring.
'Ya! What the hell are you doing here? What if you are seen?!'
He watched the tall, dark haired Strigoi shrug, apparently unbothered as he watched him with those intensely dark eyes. 'It is the middle of the night for your kind, and those in the nearby dwellings are fast asleep.'
'Irrelevant!' he cried back. The last thing he wanted, was to be the reason the Strigoi was dragged to their city centre, tied to a stake and stoned. The stoning wouldn't have killed him, but the stake they used to behead him damn well would - a public punishment to set an example. It would be broadcasted across all the lands, and used to worsen the already sickening species divide...
