Applying lipstick in the mirror, you were putting the finishing touches on your look before you left. You still couldn't believe this was happening.

"Agent (L/N)." You hear a charming voice behind you, already knowing who it was you turn around. "Agent Kallus." You greet back. "I.. was wondering if you would accompany me for dinner this evening," Kallus asked as two stormtroopers walked by. "Of course. I would be honored to join you for dinner." You accepted, staying calm despite the excitement growing within you. Kallus nodded and you swore you saw a small smile on his face.

You were reaching for your eyeliner when your loth cat, Anubis, climbed onto the table and all over the makeup supplies. "Anubis!" You yelled, swatting your cat away.

"So eyeliner or no eyeliner?" You asked your friend, Tiva. "Eyeliner. It draws attention to your eyes." Tiva picked. You apply the eyeliner and spot a fly-away strand of hair. After finishing applying the eyeliner, you pin back the strand back into your bun. Just as you pin that stray hair another sticks out. "Ugh, why can't my hair stay in place! Why is everything falling apart? I don't even know if this outfit is appropriate for the occasion anymore!" You fumed, pinning the stray strand. "(N), You look more than adequate for the date. Everything doesn't need to be perfect." Tiva tried to assure you. "Yes, it does! I'm meeting with "The Agent Kallus", an honorable agent and warrior that might have just asked me out on a date a few hours ago." You argued. Tiva raised her eyebrows at you.

"I'm sorry. I'm just a little nervous." You apologized. "You think?" Tiva asked sarcastically. "You're right. I look fine and I should just go meet him." You concluded. "Where is the "meeting" taking place?" Tiva asked. "It's a candlelight dinner at his place." You answered. "Ohhh." Tiva cooed. "Hush, it's not like that. Now I need to go." You told her. "Alright. Tell me the details later tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on how good the date is." Tiva hinted. "Goodbye, Tiva." You said your farewells and left for Kallus's apartment.

You arrive at his apartment and you knock on the door. "Come in." Kallus muffled voice said through the door. You walk in and a delicious, savory smell wafts into your nose. The table was decorated with a red table cloth, lit candles, plates, and utensils. "The decor is simply remarkable." You complimented him, sliding into your chair. "Thank you, I assumed that it would be more than appropriate for this occasion," Kallus replied, pushing your chair in for you.

He walks into the kitchen and comes back with two plates. He places one in front of you and one in front of his seat. You curiously look down at the plate. "It's Roasted Porg and Colo Claw fish." Kallus explained. "These delicacy's can only be found in the furthest reaches of the galaxy." You gasped. "It was worth the time and effort in getting them, I hope you enjoy it." Kallus confessed. "I appreciate the amount of thought and effort you put into this." You admitted, taking a spoonful of the Colo Claw fish and eating it. You were pleasantly surprised by the burst of savory and sweet flavor in your mouth. "This tastes delightful." You exclaimed. A small smile formed on his lips. "I'm glad you enjoy it." Kallus admitted.

"So, how is progress going with capturing and defeating the rebels?" You asked. "The Rebels continue to elude me, but there are those who are joining our ranks every day." Kallus answered. "That's good, Agent Kallus. Hopefully, with Admiral Thrawn with us, we'll finally make some permanent progress. Those rebels have been giving us a hard time." You added. "(N)." Kallus spoke. You look down and see his hand over yours. "I don't want you to call me, Agent Kallus, this is a date after all. I don't want to talk about work or the rebels. I would like to talk about you and I would prefer for you to call me Alexsandr." "Alright, Alexsandr. I honestly don't think any particular fact about me would interest you, but I do have a loth cat named Anubis." You told him. "How old?" He asked. "Four. He's a little troublemaker." You answered. Alexsandr chuckled. "Both of my parents are also senators for the empire." You shared. "Senator Lire (L/N) and Senator Theron (L/N). They've helped pass bills to support the Empire." He stated. You look at him and notice him wince when he moved his leg a bit. "How has your leg been since the awful ice moon of Geonosis?" You asked. "It's taking longer than I expected, but I'm healing up just fine." Alexsandr answered.

Alexsandr's face changed and his eyes had a conflicted look in them. "When I came back it was like nothing changed. Like my absence did not affect anything or anyone." He confessed. "I was affected. I could feel the difference without you there." You confessed, squeezing his hand. Alexsandr looks at you with wide eyes and then looks at you with a genuine smile.

Alexsandr was walking you home. You were holding his hand, still riding off the high of the date. "Have you ever had doubts in the empire?" He asked you. "I thought that was a non-date topic?" You questioned him. "I was just curious." He chuckled. "I guess it's normal to have doubts. The empire does have questionable ways to get things done and shows a lack of care for multiple agents, so yes I have had doubts." You answered. "Have you?" You asked. "More times than not." He answered. You both stop in front of your door. "I wanted to thank you for such a nice evening." Alexsandr said, looking into your eyes. "The pleasure was all mine." You said back. Both of you stood facing each other with only a small distance between the two of you. Seconds of silence pass by. You decide to break the silence and close the distance by pressing a kiss onto his lips. Taken back, he responds by kissing you slowly. You both pull away, Alexsandr press a small quick kiss on your lips before breaking off completely. "Goodnight, (F/N)." He said, kissing you on the back of your hand. "Goodnight."
