Chapter 4: Getting Close

It had been 2 days since the talent show ended and the start of the gang's winter break. After Noel's performance 2 days ago, they had gone to celebrate how amazing she had danced and also celebrated now the end of their first semester. Although they had gone a bit easy since they all knew that they were gonna have to pack their belongings the next day and head out the day after. During the car ride there, the group went into two different cars. Noel took her black 2021 Nissan Sentra with the girls and Sebastian took his 2020 Silver Honda Accord with Mason.

Unfortunately for Noel, she was being teased by Alba and Olivie from her performance at the talent show. What was even more embarrassing is that they started to tell stories about their childhood. Especially Noel's embarrassing moments she had.

Johanna could only giggle at Noel's reactions as the younger girl was doing her best to ignore her cousins from the teasing. As much as she knew she hated her cousins for embarrassing her, she couldn't but be enchanted by Johanna's laugh.

Currently, Noel was at her morning winter soccer training for her select team called OGA's start of the winter season training as she was remembering the car ride back to her hometown.

"Testarossa get your head out of your ass and keep running! You all should be lucky I ain't making y'all run outside!" Her coach, Lauren's loud voice makes her and her teammates shiver from her threat. Lauren loves making them run until she for sure knows that they ran for enough time. She loves making sure they are in top shape.

"Coach we've been running for an hour already! Can we please take a break?!" the blue-haired player had whined towards their coach, Adria Padilla. She was the vice-captain of the team and plays left wing.

"Since you asked hmmmmmm..... GIVE ME ANOTHER 2 MILES!"

"Oh yeah thanks a lot, you are our hero." Noel glares at her teammate who had  their other teammates whine.

"Wanna go at it now Testarossa?"
"I'd like to see you try Padilla."

"Alright break it up you two and continue running. We got 4 more laps. Don't want the coach to make us run more just because you two are fighting like children." The blonde-haired player, Eda Jones, one of the team's captains had ran beside them to get their attention. She was 2nd captain of the team and plays center back. "By the way, Noel, Isn't that your group there?" She points in the direction where her group was standing at watching her run.

Oh, she probably didn't mention that Johanna was there as well.

'What are those idiots doing here so early? They also dragged Johanna here.' She mentally facepalms her face from her cousins' obvious actions.

"Alright, ladies we are done for today. Remember tomorrow is night practice instead of morning. Except for this time we are gonna be doing drills. I'll expect you all to be ready tomorrow. Next week we are all working on formations. Now Noel, Eda, and Adria, I'll be wanting to speak with you three in private tomorrow before practice so be there a bit early before practice starts."

The three girls nodded their heads at the coach and started to head over to the middle of the indoor field.

Back to the group, Johanna watched the soccer player lead the cooling exercises with her teammates. At first, she really wasn't into soccer but because Noel was in it, she was starting to get interested.

"Oh liking what you see?" Mason playfully elbows Johanna when he noticed her staring hard.

She jumps from the sudden voice next to her, "No! I'm just surprised that she likes working out. She actually does seem the type to play sports. Maybe all of them."

"Actually you are right."

She turns towards the group with a surprised face, "Wait really?!"

"Yep."
