Chapter 16: Past vs Present

Lucian's grin grew wider when she noticed the look of realization that they all had. "What a huge surprise. Who would have ever thought we would all be together like this again." The laughter that Lucian let out made Johanna back away in fear.

This isn't the Noel she knows. The person standing in front of her was the exact opposite of her. It was as if she was possessed by the devil himself.

"Noel!" She yelled to get the younger girl's attention.

Lucian clicks her tongue tapping her head, "Noel is currently sleeping right now. We don't wanna wake her up now, would we? Woman, my name is not Noel. I'm Lucian."

The grin grew smaller as they turned to look at Matias.

"Yo, Esposito. How about me and you finish this game we've been playing for over 20 years?" Lucian reached behind her and grabbed one of the hidden knives she had. "But first," bright amber eyes looked at him, "let's see how loud you and your little rats can scream."

Johanna was about to ask what was wrong but was stopped by Olivie, who only shook her head. "That person isn't Noel, Johanna. Don't think about getting near them. You don't worry about us here, go look for the kids and take them back to the house."

"Bu-"

"Johanna please." Mason looked at her, pleading eyes telling her she doesn't want to witness what could happen.

"Okay... I'll go look for the kids." She received a nod from him, making her way toward the big rubble, looking for Noel's kids.

With Mason and the others, they looked over to see Lucian making her way toward Matias and Teo. "We need to stop her before she kills him."

"But how? Do you remember the last time we intervened when everything happened with Sebastian? She could take us all out in an instant." Olivie looked at Alba, thinking, "Got an idea, Alba?"

Alba looks over at them, "Maybe. But it's very risky."

During high school, around the time of the anniversaries of Noel's uncle and grandfather, she was outside in her backyard working out. It was her senior year at STEM and she was dealing with a lot of stupid problems with other rich families that were acquaintance with the bullies that was a part of the whole situation with Sebastion the year before. 

Instead of going out for a run or lifting weights as what she normally does when she works out, she is releasing her anger towards the punching bag in front of her. She pulled her arm back to give the bag another punch when her watch alerted her that someone was entering the property of her home. 

She looked over her shoulder and saw her mother giving her a very worried look. 

"Mija, those people are here."

She took off her boxing gloves and set them to the side and grabbed her towel to wipe the sweat off her face. "I'll handle it. Stay inside and whatever happens, do not come outside."

She walked outside and saw about 9 adults standing outside their home wearing a very angered expression with their students. 

"You all have no permission to enter this private property. Leave at once!" Noel clenched her hands, already getting annoyed on seeing how many people showed up to her family's home.

"We are here to tell you that you and your disgrace of a family are going to get into big problems after the incident last year with our children!"

Noel looked at adult who spoke up, "You are really pissing me off now. So, I suggest you all get the fuck out of my face and my property before things get really ugly here."
