Chapter 9: Best Friend

Mei Flores is the daughter of Lynn Flores who was currently dating Mason's older sister, Vesta Testarossa. She is a year older than Noel and is currently attending a private university in Ponta Delgada, Portugal, where part of Noel's relatives live in.

Aurora De Santis, the only daughter of Giovanni Bonanno and Camila De Santis. She was born in Milan, Italy, and attends a private university in Dortmund, Germany. She grew up with Noel and the others but is mostly close with the youngest Testarossa.

"I'm glad to see you all are doing okay after all these years." She looks at the royals with a smile on her face, "But I know for a fact that we don't have enough time to catch up."

"I agree with Mei. Tell us why you wanted to speak with us, Father." Mason looked at Don with a bored look.

Lorenzo sighs while taking a seat in front of them, "The reason why I wanted you 6 to be here is to speak about Mei's travel to the states and before you say anything, Noel," he raised his hand when he saw the youngest stand-up, "Mei will not be going this year. She will be going next year when she graduates from the university."

Eliano leans back from his chair nodding his head. Tonio raises an eyebrow in confusion, "Is that the main reason why you asked us here?"

Sharp eyes he has. Of course, after all the training he has gone through, Tonio can notice the change in people's body movements and facial expressions.

"The reason why I called you here is to give you the bad news...," Lorenzo fishes a cloth from the pocket of his blazer and uncovers it. "I wanted to tell you guys sooner than later but I had to do it now..."

Mason stared hard at what his father was holding.

The silver round object had roses carved onto it.

Eliano clenched his fist tightly.

A pocket watch that had a picture of a family of 4. Stained with blood.

Tonio lowered his head as his body shook.

"I'm sorry to say this but..."

Mei covers her mouth when she realized who was in the picture.

"Nove Celestia Diaz ...."

A black-haired girl with red streaks in her hair and hazel brown eyes standing right in the middle with her fist pointing towards the camera.

Aurora's tears fell down her face as she slowly looked over at Noel, holding back a sob. Her hand reached to grab the girls hand and realized she was shaking.

Noel's eyes widened as tears were streaming down her expressionless face. The color of her face turned pale.

"has been killed."

Two days have passed since Olivie, Alba, Sebastian, and Johanna have heard from Noel and the rest. They were starting to get worried about maybe something happened back in Palermo. They were hoping that they will contact one of them to tell them that they are okay.

Johanna was in her room scrolling through her Instagram when she had gotten a text from her mom.

Mama: Hi honey, I hope the school has been well! I have some news for you! I recently ran into your best friend from high school and he was asking me all about you. I told him what you were up to and he would not stop asking so many questions.

Johanna: What exactly did you tell him?

Mama: I told him that you were in Vanderbilt staying at one of their student's homes due to a project you are doing for Emory.
