Chapter 8: Joaquins Troubles

"Ok then.." Arya stepped away from him.

He thought for a second as his pink tint went away.
"We should really do something" he noted. He wiped his hands on his jeans, to rid the sweat.

Elliott looked at him confused." Like what?"they ask. They grabbed a leaf off their head and tossed it in their hands.

Kais cleared his throat." Well, you both don't seem busy right now. How about exploring our town a bit. I know we know everyone and where everything is but maybe we can remember our memories in some places" he grinned awkwardly.

Arya was kind of debating this idea. She had barely met Kais. Not even a full month of knowing each other. But, she did remember Kais from high school as he did. He was a clumsy guy, and he always stood up for people. He was not a bad guy. And Arya trusted him. Arya shrugged." That doesn't seem like a bad idea.." a beeping sound goes off on her watch.
"Damn it, I have to check on my sister"

Kais smiled." We can invite her as well!"
"The more the marrier" kais and Elliott said at the same time.

They both look at each other with wide grins.
"Jinx! Jinx again" they said together.

"Ok man, stop playing with me" Elliott said standing up straight. (Plot twist, they aren't)

Kais stood up straight too." I'm not doing anything. You're copying me" he crossed his arms.

Elliott picked up a rock." Oh really? Don't accuse me or I'll make this rock go through your head" they smiled. (foreshadow about the rock thing lol..NOT TECHNICALLY)

Kais had no intention in starting a fight with Elliott. Secretly, he was scared of them. Kais backed away." I was just kidding, don't hurt me" he put his hands up.

Elliott dropped the rock and laughed." Don't worry I was kidding too...Maybe" they were definitely not kidding.

Arya started walking towards their town. Quietly, walking away from the two annoying people that were already too distracted while they bickered with one another. After a few seconds of realizing Arya walked away, Kais and Elliott quickly went after her.

They finally arrived at Arya house.
Arya was struggling with the keys and was visibly stressed out.
Kais realized and touched her hand to hand him the key over.
Arya jumped at the warm hand.
She quickly handed over the key while Elliott smirked at her.
She rolled her eyes and Kais easily opened the door.
Before Arya could thank him, he interrupted.

"Don't thank me, I know I'm the best at this" he joked and winked.

Arya furrowed her eyebrows."...alright then" they all walk in.

"Rainey, come down" Arya yelled.

All three of them walked into the kitchen. Elliott sneaked through the fridge to get something to drink. The walk over was tiring.

Elliott handed Kais a soda and they both popped theirs open and took a drink.

They heard Rainey's footsteps progressively get louder as she walked down the steps.
When she got to the bottom, her light smile turned into a big grin as she saw Elliott.
She quickly ran up to them and hugged them extremely tight.
"ELLIOTTTTT" she yelled.

Elliott smiled and picked her up.
"RAINEYYYYY" they yelled back. They spun her around in a few circles.

Arya smiled at the interaction. Her little sister loved Elliott more than her own sister. Elliott was like another sibling to Rainey.
Their bond was unbreakable ever since they met. Which was when Rainey was born.

Finally, Rainey's attention was divided when she noticed Kais.
Elliott put her down.
She walked up to Kais and examined him.
Rainey looked like she had a lot on her mind. Scanning him up and down.
