Humans POV

Samaria felt a sudden urge to wake up. She looked over to her clock that read '7:59 AM'. She smiled to herself knowing she wouldn't have to hear the alarm go off. She reached over and sure enough, the beeping went off as the time changed to 8:00 AM.

She scolded the clock and turned it off." How lovely..."

She picked out her clothes for the day and walked out to see her mom standing over the kitchen rug. She had a confused look on her face.

"Hey mom," Samaria said, looking for the cereal in the pantry. Her mom looked over and smiled.

"Hey," she pointed to the rug on the ground."Has this rug always been there?" she asked.

"You got that rug 5 years ago, Its been there ever since." Samaria looks at her mom worriedly.

The mom shrugged."I guess I forgot, silly me"

Samaria took out her almond milk, poured some cereal in her bowl, and then the milk. Her mom handed her a spoon and she sat down to enjoy the sugary cereal. Her mom sat besides her, filling out paperwork quietly. Samaria snuck a few glances over but couldnt get a good look. She did see the word 'Father' but she ignored it. She didnt want to think about fathers since hers left a long time ago.

Samaria got up to put her bowl away after finishing it.

Before she could walk back into her room, her mom called out to her.

"I almost forgot to tell you. You have Archery classes in five minutes"

Samaria freezes in her steps. 'Not archery! There's too much pros there, I'm going to look so weak..' she thought.

"4 minutes now"

Samaria sprints over to her shoes and quickly puts them on.

"Bye mom, love you" she says as she runs out the door. Half way there, she knows she only has 2 more minutes. She run faster and faster with each step.

She waved to a few acquaintances on the way.

Finally, she sees all of them in view standing in a line. About 20 people all together. The teacher was handing each of them a bow one by one, but the girl who was last in line already had one. Samarias heart beats faster as she realizes who it was.

She got closer and stood next to the girl. Trying not to look over at her terrifying stare. She was about an inch taller than Samaria.

Samaria awkwardly waited for the teacher to come for her bow. He stopped in front of the girl next to Samaria and smiled.

"Rosalina! you're always prepared!" He exclaimed. Rosalina nodded, showing no emotions on her face.

He walked in front of Samaria and his smile went down." Oh, Samaria. I see you didn't bring your bow with you.." he scolded her a bit.

She shakes her head. "Nope, neither did most of the people here."

He cleared his throat. "You've never once brought it though."

"That's because you never gave me one to keep,"

His eye twitched and quickly handed her one. "You always have something to say.." He mumbled as he walked away.

She slings the bow behind her, smiling as she waits for instructions.

"Everyone pick a target and practice, but first grab enough arrows"

Everyone walks over to the arrows. When they see Rosalina walk closer, they move out of her way.

Her intimidating walk scared off the younger kids. While the older kids admired everything about her. She grabbed about ten before walking off to the far end of the targets that were in a row. Her long dark brown hair flowed in the light morning breeze. Her aggravated face facing the opposite direction of Samaria. Some people hurriedly grabbed some arrows and followed her.
