~it's inevitable everything that's good comes to an end~
"we need to talk," catra had whispered to lonnie last time they had brushed past each other in the crowded halls.
lonnie's stomach dropped immediately. 'this is it,' lonnie thought to herself, 'it's over.'

~it's impossible to know if after this we can still be friends~
gulping, lonnie knocks on the door of catra's chamber. "cat?" she calls quietly. catra is pacing back and forth, running her hands through her hair, 'how am i supposed to do this?'

~i know you're saying you don't wanna hurt me~
"lon, please. you have to understa-" catra is cut off by lonnie's cool tone. "i understand. loud and clear," she says, holding all of her feelings inside. 'i knew this was temporary all along,' she thinks to herself. catra gently puts her hand on lonnie's arm, "i never wanted to hurt you."

~well, maybe you should show a little mercy~
'i always knew it would end this way,' lonnie sighs, lost in thought, 'i always knew that she would never love me the way she loves adora. i just thought... after everything she and i have been through, every night we spent together, every betrayal by adora...' "i'm sorry that i put you through this. i thought..." catra trails off, then takes a deep breath, "i really thought i was over her." a tear drips from catra's eye as she looks up at lonnie.

~one more taste of your lips just to bring me back to the places we've been and the nights we've had~
"can we share one more night together, cat?" lonnie finally breaks, "just one more and we can pretend this never happened." lonnie is begging at this point. catra's tears fall faster as she pulls lonnie into a long and sweet kiss. they pull away and catra falls backwards onto her mattress, pulling lonnie with her.
