You stood in the field, odm gear wrapped around your waist, waiting for instructions.

The commander handed you swords and told you to place them in the sword holder on your odm gear you didn't see yesterday.

After everyone got their swords he explained how they were each designed specifically for us. We each had different swords in weight length and design. Each fit for you.

You thought it was cool that they recorded your results from the week to make you your own customized swords.

Long story short the explanation was, "swing sword on titan neck while maneuvering with odm gear."

Didn't seem too complicated other than the fact that today you'd be moving around with the odm gear in all types of directions unlike yesterday where it was just up and down the trees.

There were titan like dummies with neck pads, which were your targets. And the rest was on you.

"GET TO IT CADETS." The commander screamed as you stayed by Sasha.

You got in position semi far from a small tree next to sasha.

"Alright. We got this." You said as you pressed the handle on your back left side, attaching yourself to the tree, before taking a large breath. You jumped yourself up and flew in the direction of the tree, moving yourself left so you don't hit it. Mid air, you unhooked yourself from the tree and relocked yourself onto the neck of the titan cutout, your target.

You pulled out your swords before using them directly on the titans neck. Slashing the rubber meant you would've killed the titan. You did it!

You slowed yourself down by hooking yourself to the bottom of another nearby tree, jumping towards it, and letting go when you were close to the ground.

"Holy shit (y/n)!" Sasha shouted as she stood where you were in the beginning. She was probably scared. You gave her a thumbs up before moving on.

You used the odm gear to hop from tree to tree, to the titan cutout, and back onto a tree.

You watched from the distance as others did the same. The one person you noticed in particular was Annie, you could tell by her blonde ponytail. She was zipping through the titans like it was nothing.

You began to move faster, increasing speed by pushing yourself with all your might.

And that's when it happened.

~BOOM~

"(Y/n)?!" You heard a girl whisper as she shook your body lightly.

You had your eyes closed, who knows why. You opened them slightly to look into the blue eyed girl.

"Hey", she asked as she didn't know if you were conscious or still out of it.

"What happened Annie?" You asked as you put your hand to your head.

"You smashed your body right into the tree." She said as she moved the hair out of your face.

"Can you get up?" She asked, as you still laid on the ground in her arms.

"Y..yeah", you replied, using her help to stand up.

"Why were you going so fast? That's dangerous." She asked as you shook your head.

"I saw you going fast so I tried going fast as well. I didn't think I'd lose balance and face plant into the tree." You giggled before she sighed of relief.

"Why do you care how fast I go? Speed doesn't mean anything." She said as she dusted her pants with her hands, because she was previously kneed down to see if you were okay.

"My bad." Is all you said as she pat your back.

"It'll be fine." She said as she pointed to another titan cutout near by.

"If you're up to it, we can double attack it together. It'll be much easier to cut down with combined blades." She said as you nodded.

You did little jumping motions to see if you could move, although your chest hurt a little, you could do it.

"Yeah." You smiled at the girl as you and her hooked yourself on the tree.

You and her leapt forward, flying towards the cutout, using your blades to rip through the material on the titans neck with ease.

You continued to fly through the trees before seeing the girl next to you.

"Cool", She said with a tired breath.

"Yeah", you responded, out of breath as well.

The training was done and you thanked Annie for the fifth time, her each time, waving her hands and saying it was nothing. It was something. It was really fun. Yeah you fucked up your chest and your stomach hurt like hell because of the impact to the tree, but being with Annie made up for it.

At dinner, the commander interrupted and told everyone that you'd practice using horses. You didn't really know how to ride a horse. Growing up you'd see horses around, and people riding them themselves but you've never ridden one. So that would be interesting. Also, you thought about the horse. They're not a pet but they have to like you to let you ride them... right? Ah what If the horse doesn't like you?

You were stressing yourself out over a stupid horse. Y'know what? Whatever.

You went to sleep once you got back to your cabin, after talking a little with Sasha, she was the one that got you tired, telling you all the things that her and Connie did during the training like you have a shit.
